"Hey Bells." Charlie said, and glanced over at her. His eyes widdenned slightly when he saw Edward. "Um, hello Edward, what are you doing here?" he asked.

"Well I asked Bella if I could spend time with her for a short while, and she said I could." Edward said with a smile.

Charlie nodded his head then looked back at the screen.

Bella looked at her dad and then at Edward. She nodded " Just for a little while dad " she said then heading up the stairs.

Charlie didn't very much like it, but it would be rude to go right ahead and tell Edward to go home. He grumbled something unable to make out and continued watching the game.

Edward had a grin on his face as he walked upstairs and headed to Bella's room.

Bella walked into her room and looked around it and then sat on the edge of her bed.

Edward followed her in and glanced around. He then walked over and sat down in the rocking chair that was in a corner of the room.

"He also thinks other things, but I don't feel like telling about them." he said with an amused grin just thinking about what Bella's dad thought. "So, what was your life like before you came here to Forks." Edward asked.

Bella tilted her head " Now I want to know " she said with a small laugh. She shurgged " Im not sure If I could day it was better, now. But I lived in Phoenix Arizona with my mom. We'd sit out in the sun all day and just have fun. So it was good, what about your life before you came here? " she asked him.

"Well before we came to Forks, my family and I lived up somewhere in Alaska with another vampire family." he said with a thoughtful look.

"Well, I guess it would more likely someone figured out we were vampires since there were so many of us in one small town in Alaska." he said with another thoughtful look.
