You have been accepted to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Please arrive at the King's Cross Station on September 1st at Platform 9 3/4 for the eleven o'clock train. You may bring either an owl, a cat, or a toad. Please read the following papers for your school supplies.

One black pointed hat
Two pairs of protective gloves
One winter cloak

A Beginners' Guide to Transfiguration
One Thousand Magical Herbs and Fungi
Magical Drafts and Potions

First years are not permitted to bring broomsticks.
So you find all your school supplies in Diagon Alley, a place you didn't even know existed until now, and then board the Hogwarts train, ready for whatever comes ahead.

(Okay)(I am going to change my first reserved post and put all of my charries, so you can change the entire list of charries to just your own if you want)
Hermoine:I walked down the aisle of the train, looking for an empty compartment. I finally found one near the end and went inside, closing the glass door and putting my luggage under the seat before sitting down. I was already in my black robes, although my tall hat sat beside me. Deciding that the train ride would be perfect for some studying, I took out "One Thousand Magical Herbs and Fungi" and began reading from the first page.
That would be my tenth time reading this book alone, as I have memorized almost every word in all the other textbooks already. I knew the names of and about all of the Magical Herbs and Fungi, but still enjoyed reading it. I wanted to be perfect when I got to Hogwarts, to distract from the fact that my parents were both muggles.
