From Guilt To Grace

I never saw the pain that I had caused
I never noticed the damage I had done
In my brilliant plan, I could see no flaws
Just my own success, another victory won

I was hurting the people I cared for most
I was cutting them through the heart
And yet, still all I ever did was boast
I was proud that I'd ripped them apart

Now I've fallen from my own pedestal
Tears stream endlessly down my face
I'm on my knees in overwhelming guilt
Surely forgiveness is far from this place

I know you're the one I've hurt the most
It's my greatest desire to make it right
I know I don't deserve your grace
I don't deserve to walk in your light

But with open arms you welcome me
My past disappeared without a trace
And for reasons I still have yet to see
You've taken me from guilt to grace
