A TWG Book

As we all know, TWG has great stories, poems, users, RPs, and features.
As discussed earlier (I think) some things, like domain names, or complete removal of ads (yay!) can be bought using credits, which cost real money.
I'd donate if possible, but another way to get this would be to make a "TWG Book" or something of the likes. It could be a collection of stories, poems, and other things that have been posted on here. We could sell it for a low price (so everyone could get one, but with no money going towards the website) or we could sell it for a slightly higher price, and then have the money we earn go towards the website credits.
If anyone likes this idea, it'd be great. But of course, this would only happen with Shad's permission, as it's her site. Also, if it were to happen, you'd either get selected (and asked) to have your stories in your book, or you could submit them.
How does the idea sound?

I like the idea, but I'm a little concerned about copyright issues and stuff. xD I'm not sure if there'd really be any since I wouldn't put anything in with your guys's permission, and if you gave it to me I would, but I'm not really sure how the copyright stuff works, lol.

I think it's a great idea to have the money going towards the website credits, but what if there was any left over? xD I don't know that I'd feel entirely comfortable just keeping it myself, since it's not like the stories are mine. So that'd be something else we need to work out.

I can see an easy way to do it, though. x3 Createspace.

So if everyone else is cool with it, and if we can figure out what to do with any leftover money, I think this would be an awesome idea. x3 I'll be looking forward to seeing everyone elses' feedback!

Well, maybe when the credits goal was reached, the price could be changed to the minimum needed to sell it for (which is like 5 dollars, if I remember correctly) so everyone could keep buying it, but no more money would be being earnt

If we ask for permission for everything which is published, I think it would be fine as it is already on public domain (aka the web xD) and people would have every right to refuse having their story put in the book

Yep, it would, until the price was changed to the lower thing, in which case no money would go to the site, but it'd be okay because all the money would already be earnt

Yeah, that's true. xD Or maybe we just do finished stories and poems. Oh, and the stories all have to be entirely original. Like obviously no fanfictions, but like, if it had vampires similar to the Twilight ones in it . . . naw. xD You know, like, just to be safe.

What if we said the whole book was by The Writers Guild, and then for each composition we put the person's nickname? x3 Or author name. Or they could choose what to put. Like I'd be Stephanie Monique.

I think that as the author, we'd put "The Writer's Guild" but in the individual stories, we could put first names, just like Shadow said.
If we sell it at the minimum price, it's only the production price, but I quite like the idea of Shadow giving the rest to charity or her parents.
And yep, we should probably not put the fanfictions there. Maybe part fanfictions would be okay, though. Also, perhaps epilogues of unfinished stories would be okay.

Well the whole thing with fanfictions is that they've got stuff that other authors made in them. That means it's illegal to publish them. xD So I think that in order to even consider a story, it'd have to be an entirely original work, like I said.

Yeah, maybe we could do parts of unfinished stories as kinda a way to advertise the author. xD But I know, personally, that I hate reading stories unless I can read the whole thing. So idk.

Yep, you're right about the fanfictions. Maybe we should leave out half fanfictions too, then. I guess there are already tons of stories in the original work section, so we'll be fine.
You've got a point about reading the whole thing, but I think that maybe if there are stories seperated into books (like 1, 2, 3) we could just use one book.
We could collect them for like a month, and then have it ready by November or something. That way there would already be tons of stories and poems to put in it.

As long as they give consent and put their credit card number in, we're fine. Of course, we need to make sure that the money getting paid to them gets to the site eventually
