I had a trumpet lesson today. xD We did sight-reading. Zzzzz... xD

I did well. I kept messing up the key signature (F SHARP, not NATURAL! Grrr xD) but I got the rhythms right.

Oooh, I didn't misspell rhythms OR misspell misspell!!

I have band tomorrow morning. I don't really like getting up early for it. -_- That's the only bad part.

I hate getting up early for trumpet lessons. My lessons are at 9 (usually Saturdays) but the place is 30 minutes away. I like getting up early, but not actually getting ready for the day. xD

I have full band (everyone's there for working on the songs) Tuesdays and Fridays before school at 7:30. Then on Tuesdays I get to miss a class period for flute lessons (we work on troublesome spots in the music).

I have band class two or three times a week then after school band on Wednesdays from 2:20 to 3:45.

I have band practice every Thursday ('xcept this one, dangit!>E)

I find that I play better if I never practice than I do when I do. xD So I don't practice except for Thursday.

I just work on tricky spots in songs. But I work on some parts in morning band before we start. xD Like I worked out a whole part in Locomotive (what we call Great Locomotive Chase) just from morning band practicing. xD

I'm sorta mad and stressed (Not really, only Thursdays, mostly,) because I kinda want to do percussion in marching band, but first they said I couldn't do percussion because I was in a higher level with alto sax (Just because I joined with that instrument first.) but I want to ask the percussion director in our band if I could do percussion, 'cause I really wanna march around with the quads on my shoulders all summer. (It sure beats blowing out your lungs and drying your lips and giving your fingers a workout on a saxophone!) but I'm too awkward to ask. And we have to audition for the percussion we wanna play, and if I sign up with the signup forms for percussion (I'm not even sure you can do that, but that's what I heard.) then I might not have enough time to practice for the audition, and they'll probably bug me for being in the wrong place, if I try to get the audition music, or even at the auditions, if I make it that far. (NOBODY tells me I don't belong where I mean very well to be. NOBODY. And I mean it, too. >XE) And I'd probably fail the audition anyway, I'm a guy that picks up the music by hearing it over and over again. They might not even have recordings.

And yet, I sometimes wonder if I really want to march in percussion. l:(

I really dislike my band director. He plays favorites.
