"Well, I'm not the leader of this family...that's more Amanda....but I can ask." I jogged upstairs where Amanda was lying on the bed. "Are you alright?" I forgot what I was supposed to be doing as I saw her. "I think so....but my head's hurting...." She collapsed into my arms. "Here." I gave her to Nick. "Maybe they know of something that can help?" Nick suggested frantically. "I'll ask."

"Um....we're not sure yet. We kinda had a...situation. Amanda...it's difficult to explain. Could you come see?" I didn't think we could bring Amanda down here.

He stared at her, trying to figure out how he should answer, and then just grinned. "I'm Jamie Ateara. Who are you?"

Siobhan tilted her head sideways, listening to their conversations, verses their thoughts. ((GAH! It's so hard to not god-model when she has the freeking mind ready powers... I'm trying though... honestly.)) They seemed worried about Amanda, and she seemed to be in pain. Siobhan sighed and accepted their offer to come in. "Maybe I can help, Amanda. What seems to be hurting?"

Her yellow eyes narrowed. "Evangeline Lily." She walked around him slowly--human pace, but then stopped and looked at his eyes. "Are you a vegetarian?"

"Vampires." She finished for him. "Interesting. When were you changed? Your creator wasn't very skilled... He didn't tell you anything about being a vampire?"

"Well, I've been this way for about eight months now. But there wasn't a creator . . . I just . . . This girl . . ." He was struggling to remember; he couldn't see past the fog. "Somebody I used to know . . . bit me. Then there's nothing. I was like this after a few days, and nobody was there when it was done. But I didn't know where I was." This was the most confusing moment he'd ever had. He didn't even really know anything about vampires, despite having been one for nearly a year.

"Hmmm... So, do you need a place to stay? Obviously you're confused... not having a creator and all. See, I'm a creator myself. I've made six vampires. Siobhan is my newest. She's a lot like you, actually. She was just created a few months ago. Do you know about vegetarian vampires?" She asked. She said all of this very fast, anticipating another addition to her family.

"Umm . . . yeah, I guess I kinda do." He shook his head. "I don't even know where 'home' is anymore; I'm pretty much lost, and I don't really want to go back home anyway. It's just . . . well, I don't kill humans, but I want to." He shuddered. "And I won't hurt my family or friends. No, though, I don't know about vegetarian vampires." He didn't even realize he was one himself.

"Well, then you're a lot like Siobhan. I know, it's tough at first. But, eventually your family and friends will die, and then you'll be able to live normally. For now, you kind of have to keep a low profile while they think you're dead." She sighed. "That was a little... harsh. I'm sorry. But, we hunt animals, instead of people. It's not as strong, but you can get used to it. It sustains us. As for home, you can come live with us. Siobhan and I live in the house behind us. By the way, do you have any powers?"

Die? The word echoed around in his head, so much that he barely registered everything else she was saying. "Oh, um, okay. Okay. No powers - I think. None that I know of."

"I don't know." I answered truthfully. "She's just falling and won't answer." Benjamin and I righted her on the bed. I heard her moan. "Will she be okay?" Benjamin seemed more worried than I was.

Siobhan looked at the two worried vampires. "I could try to use my powers?" She suggested. "I can... sort of hear what other people are thinking... I can try to see if she's still thinking?" She sat down next to Amanda and closed her eyes.

Siobhan rocked back and forth on her knees, trying to concentrate. "I..." She started. Siobhan groaned with effort. "I... think... she's... lost... inside...... her........... body.............." Siobhan said, gasping in between each word. Her breaths all became gasps. "She...." Siobhan stopped there, breathing heavily. "is....... lost......... 'Where are Benjamin and Nick?'" She repeated.

Evangeline nodded. "I suppose so. I wonder where Siobhan is though..." She said. Siobhan?

Siobhan kept rocking, her dark hair began to tangle wildly and her red eyes became bloodshot as she opened them. She collapsed backwards, her hair sprawled out around her. "Blood..." she whispered, pointing a weak finger toward Amanda. "She.... needs...." She fell unconscious.

"Great. Just great." I jogged outside, hoping to find something to saturate their thirst. My eye caought sight of a deer. Excelent. I snapped it's neck, and carried the body to Benjamin, letting the blood run into his mouth. He opened his eyes.
"Is Amanda awake?" He seemed fine and his eyes were gold. "Not yet. Help me." My eyes must have been black too. I felt myself staggaring...

"Yup." Evangeline said. "I don't know where she's gotten to though... Hm..." SIOBHAN!!! She screamed in her mind.

Siobhan felt her eyes blink. "Where am I?" She asked groggily. She stood up and looked in the mirror. Her face was fine, maybe a little flushed. Well, as flushed as a vampire can be that is. Her eyes, they were dark, dark red. Hungry, she turned around, seeing Amanda. "Hm..." She said. She touched her neck, no pulse. Did vampires have pulses? She put her ear by her nose and listened. She was breathing. Gently, but there. Siobhan sighed and stepped out of the house. "Benjamin? Nick?" She asked.
