"Ah. The hero's return." Miaka mumbled.

Chii mumbled something unaudible, then walked into the kitchen.

Chii sighed quietly. "I can get some extra blankets..." She said, and the paused. "Amanda, You want anything hot to drink? I can make soup if you like..."

Chii nodded and entered the kitchen. She got out a pot and started making the soup. As the water boiled, she walked out and got out the blankets. She set them down on Iggy's lap, and then walked back to the kitchen.

Amanda lifted one of the blankets off my lap, and her shivering subsided a bit. She leaned against me on the couch, and I wrapped my arm around her, just below her neck.

While Miaka was sitting on the floor, her head down. She looked up, hopefully in Iggy's and Amanda's direction. "I'm sorry I dumped water on you Amanda..." She said.

"I f-f-forgive you." I pulled her slightly closer. "Iggy..." She turned slightly into a sleeping position and fell asleep on my shoulder.

Chii was still busy in the kitchen.
Miaka stared into space, as if she could see. For once in a long time- the house became extremely quiet, except for the occasional clanging of a pan from the kitchen.

Her hand was n my chest as she slept peacefully, her wings tucked in. I brushed her forehead, sending away a stray piece of hair.

Chii walked out of the kitchen with a steaming bowl of soup. Seeing Amanda sleeping, she quietly walked in and set the bowl on the table.

A few minutes later, Amanda sat up. "Hey." I whispered. "Chii made you soup." Her lips brushed my cheek. "You need to eat too, you know."
