Kayla walked quietly up to two people, a guy and a girl. The guy looked pretty familiar; he was the one that had made her mad a while ago, wasn't he? He was holding a weird case of cards or something in his hands. And then, there was the girl . . . she couldn't remember if she'd seen the girl before or not.

"Hey," she said calmly, tilting her head slightly as she looked at the two. "What's that?" She was referring to the object in . . . what was his name? . . . the boy's hands. After all, she hadn't heard him when he named it.
