Wow. It's pretty sad. I get all this positive feedback, but when it comes to the featured, it gets beat out by any random story . It's very annoying, let me tell you that. Not you guys, fate.

Wait what? Sorry, I've never seen Dr. Who, so... yeah. Maybe I'll get my mom to explain it.

Re: SLAYERS (a to-be novel in writing)
Here's the long-awaited next two chapters. Enjoy, and tell me what you think about the chapter names, I'm not sure I'm happy with them.
I prepared myself for a fight, but when I saw him, he didn’t seem like a bad guy.
“Come out from there. No need to hide.” the man said, motioning me to crawl out. He backed away as I did, to give me room. As soon as my upper body was out, he pulled me out and onto my feet. I was amazed, as I could stand again, and when I pulled my pant legs up, the metal was gone. Had I really just imagined it? I looked up at the man. He had long, black hair down to his shoulders, brown eyes, and a small beard and mustache.
“What. . . happened?” I asked, a look of shock on my face.
“Your wounds are healed.” The man replied, smiling at me.
“But. . . How? And. . . Who are you?”
“Some people call me Joshua. And I suppose, when Smith gave you those mechanicle parts, they were made able to repair themselves as your body does.” He answered. “And you’re fortunate I found you in time. Vamps will be along soon.” Turning to the tank, Joshua said, “Ah, the Vaun Heavily Armoured Transport Tank. “ (HATT) “A new design.” He said, before I could ask him about how he knew what Smith had done. I dropped that subject, and looked at the HATT. It had a large dark red- painted body, designed specialy for carrying supplies and such like that. It wasn’t a nice thought that the vamps needed to transport things, for all anyone knew, they might be preparing for a war.
At the front was a cockpit made of a dark silver new metal that so far, seemed unbreakable, along with some weaker, translucent orange- coloured metal. To the sides of the cokpit were grenade launchers, a kind that fires wildly, not very reliable for accuracy, just destruction.
On the top of the vehicle, there was a large laser cannon, for longer-ranged, heavily-armoured targets.
Conected to the body were treads, with rapid-fire double-barrel turrets on the parts that the wheels that turned the treads were connected to. Between the front and back treads was a door that flipped down to become a walkway into the tank.
In the back was a second cockpit with two anti-tank lasers at it’s sides, for picking off any heavily armoured vehicles following them.
“Yes,” said Joshua “This is one sweet ride.”
“So, how’d you get out here, and why?” I asked him.
“Oh, that’s a long story, very long. It would take a week just to tell it.”
“Alright, whatever. My story, is that I was captured by these vamps, and they’re gonna find us if we don’t get out of here now. Lets get into this thing.” I said, pulling down the side door, and climbing in. Once there was enough space for Joshua to get in, I looked about the interior. There were about 20 seats against the sides, five on each side on the right and left of the doors. Next to each seat was a gun, of a kind I didn’t know.
Joshua headed for the cockpit doors, and I followed him. The cockpit was built for two pilots, thankfully. We each took a seat, and Joshua pressed a button in front of him, which resulted in a closed side door.
“I have one question,” Joshua said. “Why did you trust me? I could’ve been a vamp.”
My blood chilled. “Uh. . . I just had the feeling you were a good guy. . .”
“Aren’t vamps supposed to seem like good guys, with their charming abilities?” He asked
“Well. . . Uh. . . you helped me, and, you didn’t act like a vamp, oh, and your teeth aren’t sharp.”
“As good an answer as any.” He replied, as he put his hands on the control board, a keyboard, except with codes instead of letters. This was one of those vehicles you needed to train as a pilot to drive.
I sure hope he knows what he’s doing. I thought to myself as he typed a rapid code, then put his right hand on the arrow keys, and tapped each one, as if testing them.
“Good, all systems online.” He said, typing in another code. “Now we can watch our rear end, with that screen over there.” He pointed to a screen on the wall beside me.
“Hey, I think some vamps are out there. . .”
“What, oh no. Go man the rear cockpit.” He said, typing in another code. I left my seat, and ran to the rear cockpit. This one was only one-man, and seemed to have easier controls. There was a simpler control board in front of the seat, and two control sticks in the chair’s arms with at least three buttons on each, for controling the guns, I assumed.
Looking through the cockpit window, I saw a couple of vamps walking towards the tank. They were almost under the walkway I had jumped from. I looked at the control board, and tried to think what to type. . . The vamps might’ve used a special code for unlocking all the codes to the vehicles, as they probably wouldn’t have enough time, or any trainers to train anyone.
“Let me think. . . Uh. . . blood?” I typed it in, and in a little screen on the control board, in red lettering, it said, ‘access denied’.
“Crap. Uh. . .” I thought harder. “Dracula?” I typed that in. There was a beep, and in green lettering, the screen said, ‘all weapon systems unlocked’.
I let out a sigh of relief, and pressed one key. The screen said ‘wheel turrets’
I pressed a button on side of the left control stick, labeled ‘targeting CPU’ and a screen flipped down, fitting itself to my head. It gave me a view from cameras attached to the guns, or so I thought.
I ducked under it, and looked at the buttons, until I found one on the top of the right control stick that said, ‘fire’. I looked to the other, and sure enough, there was another ‘fire’ button.
I looked back into the screen, fearing I was too late to blow the bridge down on the vamps. But by some force of luck, they were standing under the walkway, talking. I turned the control sticks, until in the screen, I saw the walkway, and as soon as I was sure my aim was correct, I pressed both fire buttons. Instead of firing, a crossair appeared in the screen.
“Blast!” I muttered, slamming my thumbs back on the buttons. It fired a string of blast bolts, until I lifted the fingers. The walkway was hit, and with an explosion, the whole thing decintegrated with hardly any sound.
“Not the effect I was looking for!” I said through gritted teeth. But now I had a new problem. When I turned the camera back down to the place the vamps were, they were gone.
“Where’d they go?” I asked myself. Joshua shouted at me to buckle up. After five minutes of looking for a restraint, I found at the top of the chair, some straps. I brought them down to the bottom, where I inserted them into slots, where they were pulled tight, like money into an antique vending machine.
“I’m set!” I shouted, and then the vehicle started moving at a quick pace for such a large tank. Soon, there was a loud bang against the side.
“Deckk, get a gun, I think those vamps are after us!” Joshua shouted.
“But how?” I asked. “They were never so fast before.”
“Who cares? Just defend!” Josh snapped back. I took a few minutes to find out how to loose the restraints, and once I was out of the seat, I ran into the center of the vehicle, and took a gun from a seat. There was another bang, and dents started appearing in the side, soon a fist broke through, and started stripping the metal down. I fumbled to get the rifle aimed, and pulled the trigger. A stream of laser shot from it, hitting the hand. There was an savage howl of rage, and the hand let go. A new one took it’s place soon, and before I could figure out how to reload the gun, the door was tore apart. In a blur, a vamp lunged at me, and pinned me to the wall.
“Who’s gonna save you this time? Another pathetic vamp without enough information?! Not THIS time! NOT THIS TIME!!!” He snarled, foaming at the mouth. His head shot forward, and I felt a pain like no other in my neck. In the next several minutes, my head burned like helll. All my senses dimmed, until I knew nothing but the pain. It consumed all of me, and after what felt like years, it slowed, and I knew nothing at all.
I opened my eyes to find myself on a bed in a room, seemingly a living room, with couches, and a holoscreen, a square of glass used to display images. I couldn’t make out much else, it was all blurry.
After a while, a figure entered the room. Eventually he came into focus and it was Smith.
“Smith, h-help. . . me! Vamp. . . bit m-me! Am I. . . I-I gonna die?” I murmered. Smith laughed. “Deckk, you sound just like a paper-cut five year old. You are lucky to be alive, though. The venom almost got to your heart, and it did disable most your brain, but by some miracle, your heart stopped before it could be infected permanently, and the venom wasn’t dissolved into your brain, just stayed liquidized, so we were able to suck that out with the rest. And we found that your mechanicle parts were worn out, even though it was made to last a lifetime.”
“Well, . . . that w-would explain our. . . little . . . screw-up in the c. . . city. But. . . who d-did it?” I asked, the best I could
Smith looked ponderous for a moment. “There may be more to this than we know.”
I nodded slowly, and layed my head back down.
“Everybody, get over here now!” I screamed into a comm link, connected to the building’s speakers. Whoever let that commando escape was going to get it! And it was death.
One by one, my henchmen, and workers appeared. By ten minutes, less than half were here.
“Where the kell are the others!?!” I shouted at the scared vamps. They just shrugged, one at a time. I knocked my throne down on them, but they moved aside. Finally, one quivering vamp approached.
“Sir, they left, to join. . . the count.” He was soon dead, along with the others.
I had gone to the hospital, to get the rest of my lab supplies, but, when I looked in the lab, there was heavy security.
“Hey, what’s the big idea?” I asked a soldier.
“Are you Dr. K. R. Smith?: He asked
“Yes, as a matter of fact, I am, and this is my lab room, and you can’t just come in here and-”
“Sir, I’m gonna need you to hold your arms out.” He said, pulling a handlink laser band off of his belt. I kicked him in the groin, and jumped out the window again. This time, I landed on my good leg, hit my head, and went unconscious.
I woke again, and found myself to be perfectly awake, not tired at all. I could move again, and I felt really energetic. I wanted to move!
I got out of the bed, and fell, not used to standing. How long had I been in that bed?
“Hello?” I called out hoarsley. “Smith? Anyone?” There was no answer. I decided it wouldn’t hurt to see what was in their refridgerator. . .
I gaped at the holoscreen.
“Smith a criminal? No way! This whole world is crazy!”I shouted, when the news reported Smith’s outlawing.
I got up, off the cold, hard floor I had been sitting on, and ran across the room to the closet, where I began my search for a gun. I didn’t care which one, I just wanted a gun, to use my anger to my advantage, and get in a few vamp kills while it lasted.
As I rumaged through a heap of wrinkled and worn clothes, a new thought came to me.
“Maybe the other closet. . .” I murmered, running across the room to the other closet. I opened it, and there were my guns, nailed to the wall. Four of them, varrying from long sniper rifle on the right, and small handgun on the left. In the middle were my medium-sized shotgun, and machine gun. I chose the machine gun, and had to read what I labeled on it.
“Anti-tank laser machine gun.” I read, then I wondered how I had found something this powerful. I couldn’t remember. I looked around the main room for a few minutes, until I found a device I used to track down those vamps. It was more or less a holoscreen attached to a scanning device I modified to track down the vampires, by their unique blood.
“Now, those vamps will get what’s coming to them.” I pressed a button on the side of the scanner, and the holoscreen showed a line spinning around a circle, just as a radar screen. There was nothing showing up yet. I pressed another button, to enhance the scanning range, and it did, slowly showing dots until there were several in one area.
“The jackpot.” I said, but then I realized I was no match for that many. Still, why not check it out, gangs were never this big. I went into the clothes closet, and picked up a leather that jacket I’d coated the inside of with fibers I concluded should block a percentage of laser getting through. A laser bolt is made by a metal ‘bolt’, that is shot using energy from a special laser battery combined with a blast chemical causing a burning beam of energy (Differing in color, power, and sometimes effect, depending on the chemical,) launching the bolt. As the bolt flies through the air, it dissolves into the beam from the extreme heat, so it is no longer just a beam of energy, it is now partially metal. When hit with one, there is a burn from the heat, but only for a moment, and because the beam is partially metal, it can cut into you, killing you if in the right place, or not treated quickly. That’s the basic way most lasers work. So, if my theory was right, the beam should be reduced in power, because of the filtering effect of the fibers. Hopefully the vamps didn’t have advanced lasers.
I forgot to try finding something to block my scent from the vamps, and I cursed myself for that. When I was sure I hadn’t forgotten anything, I walked out of the shack, and tracked the dots in the holoscreen. I slowly pressed a zoom in button as I got closer, and eventually, the dots were clustered near the middle. I didn’t get it, I was on ground, and I wondered why vamps would be underground, they like to be in the open, where everyone can see their gang’s size.
I assumed the tracker was malfunctioning, it would get funny sometimes, so I put it away. Proceeding with caution, I looked at my surroundings, and didn’t see any buildings at all, these were open plains of orange-colored grass. I walked forward a step, and my foot made a clang. When I looked down, I saw a camoflauged orange metal. . . manhole, or somthing. It was common sense to assume the vamps were underneath, but it likely wasn’t very smart to find out. I, of course, was here to find out, as my anger at this time was gone, leaving only interest. I took a deep breath, and slowly put my hands on the metal cover, ever so slowly lifting it, then I whipped it off.

Dead or Alive?
