Rain Drops

Rain. It hits the window's fogged up glass,
Just to slither down, leaving a trail of wet bleakness behind it.
Reminding me, the winter is real. That summer, no longer is.

The liquid pools up in the street, on the sidewalk, anywhere the wind throws it.
A car passes by, sending waves of fallen rain to the curb.
A person walks by, the rain hitting their umbrella, wanted to soak their hair and clothes.

Outside is grey, as if the rain has washed away all the color.
The sky is nothing but clouds, waiting down with more rain.
I sit and listen to the stormy world and feel glad that I'm inside and that my hair is wet because of my shower and not because of the
