Eagleflight looked at Foxkit. "What's wrong?" she asked.

"You're wrong. You hunted on my father. He died."

"Your father?" Eagleflight asked. She thought the father was a mother.

"Yes, my father." I said, rolling my eyes. "Now, where's my mother?" I asked, knowing this cat wouldn't hurt me. And if she tried to, I would land the death blow as soon as I could.

"I'm not sure," Eagleflight meowed.

I waltzed into the forest, and smelt blood. My heart stopped and I ran towards the scent. There was mother, lying on the floor. Unmoving. Not breathing. Dead. All the anger balled up from my father's came rushing up inside me. "What did you do??!!" I screamed at her.

"We had no idea this was your mother. She was a fox...and we killed her," Eagleflight meowed.

"WHAT?????!!!!!"

"We cats...we don't like foxes on our territory, they kill kits," she meowed.

"So we can survive. You kill mice and squirrels too. And your fellow species. What don't you kill?"

"Two-legs."

"You would if you could. I know it. Then you could spread your stupid territories even farther."

Eagleflight shook her head. "We don't mess with them. They have guns."

"So you're scared of them. Ha, that's pathetic." I laughed. "The foxes, we, we take on the humans sometimes. And normally, we win"

Eagleflight pinned her ears against her head.

"Scared?"
"That's enough, Foxkit." I said sternly.

Eagleflight sighed in relief when Shrewstar came.

"Why should I? I could kill you!" I threatened. "And I'll kill her first!"

Eagleflight growled "No fox I've ever fought with has survived meeting me."

I snorted. "That's obviously fox scratches on your ear."

"Yes. But the one who gave it to me is dead."
