Half-Blood Haven: Vampires, Werewolves, and Spies... oh my! (Part 2)

"Ugh, don't take it too personally. He's like that with everyone at one point or another. First time he saw me I think he was surprised I didn't ask him for money."

Two voices carried singularly through the dense brush. One was a lightish femine voice, the other a slightly neavy masculine voice. The timbre (tamber in pronunciation) of the man's implied he was darker complexion and the stench he carried was werewolf. "Everyone gets like that around me, 'sept you ironically."

"Guess I see things no one else sees."

Severus was wandering around through the forest, his footsteps light, and as quiet as... well, pretty much anything that's really quiet. He wore all black, and this helped him blend in with the forest. The only thing that he might have to worry about was if someone saw his papery white skin, or his ice blue eyes.

"You seem like that kind of person," he said in a silky sort of tone.

"That's something that will definately get you into trouble with my uncle," she said with a relaxed sort of smile. Kind of a smile, she rarely smiled so it was more of a grimace.

"What? Talking with you?"

Severus stopped, hearing people talking. Both familiar voices, he added to himself inside of his mind. His eyes widened, and he stood perfectly still, so not to spread his vampire scent so far. He would be dead if Marcus knew he was out here.

"Yeah, my uncle is... a wee bit protective of me I guess. Especially with the whole battle going on," Taylor skipped ahead of Marcus, nearly tripping several times but she didn't mind.

"It's the Haven. You're safe here, aren't you?"

"I guess but we're in the forest so it's not the safest place ever." She raised her head, a true smile pulling at her lips. On a faint breeze she caught a scent she knew well.

Severus couldn't help but smile at the fact that Taylor had caught his scent. He couldn't help but think, Ha ha, Marcus didn't smell me! Hey, he had to be a teenage boy sometime in his life-- even though his 'silly moments' were extremely rare. He often showed them only to Evie and Taylor. So, he waited-- hey, if Marcus saw him, he'd catch up with him later. Blackmail him or something.

"Hiding much?" came a voice from behind Severus. Taylor's thick black hair fell neatly over one side of her face. For one her hair was smooth, hanging loose and looked a lot better.

Marcus peeked around, meeting Snape's gaze. "Afternoon... who are you again?"

{NM! Pretty sleepy and have a nasty tummy ache, but otherwise, Nm. What up with you? =]}

(Ceiling... football team lost... eating Pringles. Not a lot, rp?)

{Lost, eh? Don't feel too bad. Our HS football team didn't win one game their whole season...they suck, soooo bad. xD YEA! Pringles at ten oclock! And, sure! Who an who? Can we attempt to rescue Emma? =]}

{Uh, Harper and Luke I suppose, too.}

Harper had his arms crossed and was standing otuside. Luke had been promising him for days that he'd take him to Emma but every time at the last minuet something would "come up" and he'd "unfortunately" not be able to bring them and it would be "delayed" to a "later and more convient date." Today, tonight, rather, Harper wouldn't take any of it. He waited, his nostrils flared slightly.

Severus jumped slightly, and spun around. When he caught the gaze of Taylor, he grinned innocently, his pale hands folded behind his back, "Yes, I was hiding from you." He joked, the corner of his mouth pulling up. His eyes fell on Marcus, and his eyebrows rose. He stuck out his hand, doing the "hello, i have no idea who you are!" Thing. "Pleased to meet you."

Both Anderson twins walked into the clearing. Amethyst looked the most normal she had in awhile; the snout had worn off. "He coming or what? There's always more than one way to weed out a rat."

Derrick was still being a bit jumpy; flinching at every sound and praying it'd be Luke.

Taylor laughed a bit and rolled her eyes, "Wow, feel so welcomed." She turned her attention back to Marcus and smiled, "Marcus this is Sev---erus, good friend of mine. Severus, this is Marcus and he just joined the pack."

"Pleasure is mine," he said calmly, shaking his hand. It was as if the two had never met before...

"I hope so," Harper murmured, glancing around, his eyes open wide despite the fact there were large purple bruises beneath them. He and Emma both could sleep, but lately, Harper's eyes barely shut more than a second.

"A rat? Is that really how you adress the man who will bring you to your precious Emma?" came a voice from the nearest tree; two honey colored eyes sparkled in the dark.

Amethyst shot him a sympathetic look, "We'll find her. Either earthquake or--"

Derrick snarled at the sound of his voice, "Perfect reasoning. Been ratting your way out of every other occurance. Surpsied you--" He cut off when Ame shook her head.

"Well, I've had my reasons!" Luke appeared on the ground in the shadows in a crouch.

"Stand out here and face us like a man," Harper spat, his fists clenching.

Luke sighed deeply. "I'd rather not..."

"Fine. Don't," Harper, clearly agitated, shook his head. "Just...let's get this show on the road, finally."

Severus nodded slowly at Marcus, his eyes dark, and vague looking. He definitely wasn't giving anything away. But if you were on the 'Dark Wizard's Side' and often saw Severus like this, you could tell that his eyes said 'tell and I will get you'. He then released his hand, and returned it to his side. He looked back to Taylor, "Thank you for introducing me." He said with a smile, "I'm sure we'll get along."

"How do we know it's you?" Ame's voice barked out, stronger and sturider than she could have imagined it to be. Inside she was shaking, worried to distraction over her friend.

Derrick couldn't help but agree with his sister but also with Harper, "Does it matter? He's here, let's just go now..." He seemed a bit aggitated himself to be perfectly honest.

"Just follow me, then," came the heavy sigh of Luke's voice. "You don't need proof I'm myself. I'm just not presentable today and would rather remain unseen. Follow the sound of my voice." He disappeared back into the tree and hopped from branch to branch.

Harper took Ame's hand and gave it a gentle, reasuring squeeze. "Just follow him," he said softly, letting go and setting after the rustling sounds at a brisk pace.
