The Voices in My Head: Part III - Page 35 Empty Re: The Voices in My Head: Part III

Post by shadowsowner888 3/3/2010, 5:18 pm

-----Incredulous, Shadow let her jaw drop, staring at Cassie. I should’ve guessed she’d say something like that. For a moment she continued staring, but finally, she forced her gaze over to Jake instead. What was he thinking?

-----"Sorry, sorry, sorry-" Cody started saying, scrambling back to his feet. That was when the meatball hit the girl. "Augh!" He flashed a glance behind him and swore, seeing that they were indeed coming - the ninja groundhogs. "Quick, they're coming - we have to get out of here. Follow me!" He darted into a building, pausing just after the entrance to make sure the girls were following.

((I'm not sure how seriously to take Jenny at this moment, but is it okay if we say the ninja groundhogs really are chasing them? xDD))

(Sounds good! XD Sorry for kind of making the ninja groundhogs the chasers.)

Jenny and I scampered after the unknown boy, to avoid being hurt by the evil ninja groundhogs. I was going to correct the boy for swearing, but I realized that it didn't matter at this point. We entered a building as an escape, realizing it was a Starbucks Coffee shop. Jenny must have, too, because we both darted to counter, shouting, "Starbucks!" She pulled out her wallet as we contemplated what we were buying.

((No, that's okay. xDD I had no clue what they were anyway.))

-----Cody eyed Jenny incredulously. "Dude - would you put that away and just run?!" He darted towards a door in the back that said 'employees only', ignoring the words and shoving it open. "Hurry!"

Jenny sadly placed her wallet in her jeans pocket. Tentatively, I walked up to the Employee Entrance. What if we get in trouble? I thought. However, I realzed that our lives could be at stake, and that was more important. Jenny and I pushed through the door, as I heard a distinct splat.

[J] I stared at Cassie. I couldn't let her do that... could I? How could I, knowing she would die... but how could I not, knowing that it would save the world, and probably the rest of us?

-----Cody slammed the door shut and locked it once the girls were safely inside. "Okay. There's a secret exit in this place," he said quietly. "Keep it down, and keep following me." He crept off through the huge shelves of coffee supplies that happened to be there, ignoring the pounding that was coming from the door.

-----"Is there a way to program it . . . to . . . not kill Cassie?" Shadow asked Ax desperately. "There's gotta be something we can do, can't we?"

Terrified, Jenny and I tip-toed between shelves after the boy. "Where does the entrance lead to?" I asked, piercing the silence. Right after the words were out of my mouth, Jenny tripped over a bag of coffee beans. She tumbled to the ground, toppling over an open bottle of whipped cream. It sprayed everywhere -covering Jenny, and getting a little on my shirt.

-----Shadow's eyes filled with despair. Already she thought of all the Animorphs as really close friends . . . how could she possibly accept them just getting rid of Cassie? She swore under her breath and crossed her arms, shaking her hair down to partially cover her face. Just when we get a way to do this, it all backfires. Great.

"Because it's us killing you!" Rachel burst out angrily.

-----Shadow put her face in her hands now. Rachel sure had it right. Instantly she started searching through all her shapeshifting options . . . was there anything, anything at all, that could prevent this?
-----Not really. Unless she were to turn into something that was a really really good scientist, so she could just get the DNA out of Cassie's system somehow.

Post by The Mad Hatter 3/6/2010, 12:43 pm

Coby and Lisa Fowlers were wandering around, just outside of the Rainey house. Today was particularly dreary for them, having been left alone by Damon so he could go get them something to eat, and Stitch being off somewhere in the forest again. Of course they had told Cassandra, but she had told them to stay, and that he would come around.

Godric, Alec, Damon, Mort, Darren, and Cassandra were all hiding something from them. They hadn't seen Dustfinger or Pan in weeks; they had disappeared, snuffed out like a candle flame.

"Lisa, I'm bored. When's Damon comin' back?" He asked, looking up at his sister. Their eyes mirrored the other, while the rest of their features did not. Coby was blond, Lisa had a head of wavy red hair. Coby was tanned, Lisa was very fair.

"I 'dunno, Coby. Stop askin' me..."

-----Edward mumbled something to himself as he absent-mindedly paced through the forest. "Weird stuff going on . . ." he was saying, a distracted look in his dark golden eyes. He glanced down at his pale hands for a moment before walking through the branches of a willow tree, then suddenly found himself standing in front of a house.
-----"What the . . ." He blinked confusedly. Wow, I really did get off track. He could hear a pair of minds nearby . . . in fact, he saw who they belonged to a few seconds later. It was the two children he'd met before.

The Voices in My Head: Part III - Page 35 Empty Re: The Voices in My Head: Part III

Post by The Mad Hatter 3/6/2010, 7:28 pm

"Lookit, Lisa! It's.... that guy!" Coby exclaimed, pointing at Edward. He had very good eyesight, and seemed to have been able to pay attention to everything he was doing--which had currently been inspecting a little 'rolly-polley' bug crawling around in the foliage.

"Coby, it's not very nice to call people that. Momma said so." Lisa sighed, flicking him in the back of the ear. However, the little boy easily dodged this, mocking her words 'Momma said so' in his own mocking little voice. Lisa stuck her tongue out at him.

"Fine. What is his name, then?" Coby asked Lisa curiously, tilting his head up at Edward. The mysterious vampire didn't seem to intimidate him at all; he'd been around Damon, Darren, Godric, and Alec for a long enough time to have been used to mysterious--or, creepy, in little kid language-- dudes.

"I think his name was Edward, right?" Lisa asked, tilting her head up at Edward.
