((Oops. xD))
((Sure, Saddle. :1))
-----”It’s gotta work!” Shadow exclaimed. “It has to, I swear it!” Obviously it wasn’t going to change anything no matter how much she swore it, but she was saying so anyway.
-----Cody decided not to comment on the whipped cream issue. What did it matter if it had germs or not, as long as she was eating it off her own hand? Turning away, he continued along the aisle, staring at the ceiling.
-----“Okay, here it is!” he said after a few moments of walking. There was a faintly visible set of lines above them in the otherwise solid ceiling. Cody started climbing up one of the shelves, and when he reached the top, he very carefully worked on moving the ceiling panel away.
-----Edward hesitated, wondering whether he should go over and talk to them, but finally shrugged. I guess it’ll take my mind off things . . . He slowly walked over to Coby and Lisa, smiling faintly. “Hello . . . yes, that’s my name.” Don’t think about anything else. Just live in the moment and you’ll be fine. He was just barely holding himself together, obviously.
-----Pootnic was on his hands and knees, peering with an anxious face through the bars of the drain on the sidewalk. "Hello? Mister Pookins? Are you in there?" he whispered, worry in his voice.

Re: The Voices in My Head: Part III
"See, I told you." Lisa turned to Coby, who was sticking his tongue out at her. "Ya gotta just ask if you're not sure." Now it was her turn to stick her tongue out at him. Suddenly, a memory flashed right through her mind.
The man called Sam Merlotte had found the two in the forest beside the small, country town of Bon Temp, after Maryann had taken over. The maenad had made everyone go crazy; they avoided everyone who had the completely black eyes. He had kept them with him for two whole days, he fed them, clothed them, and made sure they were safe-- even though he was on the run from Maryann, too.
He had taken them to the one the little children called Vampire Erik, an ancient vampire who resided in their town. Sam knew Erik could possibly help them.
"What is it that you want..." Erik paused, tilting his head over at the three. Sam looked pretty okay, but the children were as quiet as a pair of mice. His eyes rested on Sam, and he tilted his head, "...Shifter?"
Since this was a memory, things were slightly blurred and words echo-like. "Look at them, Pam." The vampire said, looking over to a girl who was sitting in a chair beside him. "They're like humans but miniature." He leaned forward, smirking, "Teacup humans."
"Can we see your fangs?" Coby asked, now suddenly curious. Erik did not hesitate, hissing quietly as a pair of long K-9's appeared. Coby looked curious, while Lisa leaned back in her chair slightly. "What's the matter?" Erik asked, tilting his head. His pupils seemed to grow slightly larger. "Don't you like vampires?"
Her eyes widened, and the memory disappeared, replaced by a bunch of 'lalalalalala's.

"Do you want help?" I called up to the boy. As I said this, I climbed up the shelf to join him, with Jenny following. She got whipped cream all over the shelf as she climbed. It's a good thing that she's the last to go, I thought.

((I'm saving all replies and shall make my own tomorrow. Sorry for the extra wait, but I really need to get off tonight. ^^; ))
Re: The Voices in My Head: Part III
-----”Right,” Shadow mumbled, looking down and scuffing a foot across the barn floor. Apparently she misjudged her strength, for a small dent got left in the floor. The vampiress frowned and quickly spread a clump of hay across it, hoping it wouldn’t get noticed. Whoops. “And, so, if it doesn’t work we all die?”
-----Edward’s eyes widened for an instant, but he quickly smoothed his expression over. What was that? he wondered. This ‘Sam’ is . . . a shapeshifter of some sort? And Erik . . . I’ve never heard of him before . . . Well, this was great, now he had a mystery to ponder about.
-----”That little blue monster of yours been causing any trouble?” Edward asked them, avoiding the questions he wanted to ask instead, and offered Lisa and Coby a good-natured grin. It was the best response he could think of that wouldn’t freak them out, though it might do that all the same.
-----”Ahh - um - careful,” Cody warned, suddenly looking down at the ground with anxiety. “Hold on, don’t move, just stand there - I almost got it open-” It would be just great if they managed to knock the whole shelf over right now, when they were trying to get away. A bunch of scrabbling and high-pitched growls started sounding from the door to this place, reminding him how urgent it was. Cody gritted his teeth and shoved with all his strength, just managing to move the weighted ceiling tile out of its spot. He let out a sigh of relief. “Okay, hold on - I’m going to send you guys the little rope ladder. Be quiet and don’t knock anything over.” A teasing grin crossed his face for a moment, but it was quickly replaced with a serious expression.
-----Cody reached up, his wrists just barely able to brush the edge of the gap in the ceiling, and groped around until he found the handles meant to help in such circumstances as this. He grabbed tightly on then shoved up with his legs, pulling fiercely upwards until at last he was scrambling into the little hideout.
-----The room was rather small, about the size of your average bedroom, and dust and cobwebs were everywhere. While it didn’t matter one way or another to Cody, he couldn’t help but wonder how the girls would react to it. For sure, it would be interesting. He shook the thoughts away, though, and let the rope ladder roll down to them; the bottom just touched the shelf. “All right, hurry up!” he called, peering over the edge at the two.

Re: The Voices in My Head: Part III
Coby laughed at this, a child-like laugh. The two were still innocent, not yet aware to the realities of the world they currently lived in. "You betcha." He replied with a nod, his slightly long, dirty blond hair bobbing up and down along with his head. It reached his chin, and so you see why his hair had gotten to its length, he was afraid of scissors.
Lisa giggled along with her brother. "He ate Damon's shoes." Of course they weren't aware that Edward probably didn't know who Damon Salvatore was, but the two didn't pay attention to that fact at the time. "Damon almost threw 'im through the ceilin', but Cassie told him that she'd steal his magic ring if he did." The ring was the thing that kept Damon from turning to ash in sunlight.

-----"Fantastic!" Shadow plastered a fake smile onto her face. "Well, at least that way I know I'll be in a better place."
-----Edward chuckled, shaking his head and smiling. "I'm surprised 'Damon' even lets you keep him around, magic ring in the picture or not. And he always acts like this?" For the most part, he did indeed know the answer, because of the mind-reading. But he'd got good at acting like he was normal.

"Well, not always." Coby replied, "He's just really naughty when he gets all hyper. We 'dunno where he gets the coffee, because now Morty likes drinkin' decaf when Stitch's 'round." Explained the blond one, shrugging his thin shoulders.shadowsowner888 wrote:-----"Fantastic!" Shadow plastered a fake smile onto her face. "Well, at least that way I know I'll be in a better place."

"You should see Alec when he's hungry..." Lisa trailed off, her eyes going from Edward, to the house behind them. Things seemed pretty eerie in there, as things always did.

-----Ugh, now I understand how everyone else here feels, she thought, rolling her eyes. "Common sense, facial expression, and tone of voice, Ax. You'll learn someday, trust me. Unless we die first."
-----"Ah," he chuckled. "Maybe Starbucks should be keeping their supplies in more secure places." Little did he know that a trio of people were in the process of hiding in a Starbucks attic to escape a bunch of ninja gophers - yes, Starbucks definitely needed more security. (That does not have anything to do with the roleplay, but it needed to be said. ) "Who's Alec?"

Re: The Voices in My Head: Part III
The two children laughed with each other at Edward's comment. Their laughter was as like any other, innocent ans happy. But something tainted their laughter. Worry, or confusion? Perhaps it was the suspicion of the goings on in the forest around the home they currently lived in. No one dared to breath a word about it around them.
"Oh, he's Cassie's boyfriend." Coby replied simply, almost as if it were a fact. "He's so pale! As much as you, Eddy!" The boy exclaimed. He didn't know Alec's last name, but the rest did; Alec Volturi.

[A] "I do not think anything to do with human facial expressions is possible to learn," I grumbled quietly.
"Anyway," Jake said loudly. "Moving on..."

Re: The Voices in My Head: Part III
-----Edward's eyes flickered, widening a hint. Alec . . . from the Volturi?
-----He shook that thought off. No, maybe it's just a coincidence. I'm sure Alec wouldn't really be here . . . but if he is . . . why?
-----Realizing that he was still standing in front of the kids, he quickly returned his thoughts to the present. "Ah. I don't suppose his eyes change color, do they?" He smiled, trying to make it seem like he thought such an idea was silly.
-----Shadow attempted to ignore Jake. "That's not true!" she insisted to Ax. "Besides, they're the least important part. Sometimes we just fake them anyway! Seriously, don't you think you'd figure it out after living here for like ten years or more?"
((Correct, Saddle. Lol, and, I must thank you for brightening my day by quoting that post. xD))

[A] "Never," I insisted. "Besides, I hope to be long gone by then. Not that Earth isn't a wonderful planet to be on," I added hastily. "I would just rather be on my own planet."

Lisa and Coby were hesitant on answering this question. Their thoughts suddenly became jumbled, a bunch of words mixed together, as if their thoughts were having their own private [and slightly panic sounding] conversations. Finally, Lisa shrugged her thin, pale shoulders. "I know it seems a lil' silly... but sometimes they do." She replied, glancing at the forest behind Edward.

Re: The Voices in My Head: Part III
-----”What?!” she cried. “Aw, come on!” Her face became upset. “You’d leave? But you’re so much fun to have around! That’s not fair! We can’t lose you, too!”
-----Edward simply couldn’t keep his eyes from widening. “Oh - really?” he asked, trying to keep his voice nonchalant, but utterly failing. “What color are they when you usually see them? Blue? Brown? Red? Green? Golden?” Now he was becoming painfully certain that this was indeed no coincidence . . . Alec was here.
-----The part that confused him was that they’d said he was ‘Cassandra’s boyfriend’ . . . ? That simply didn’t add up. Who was Cassandra? Was this even the truth? And if so . . . how? It was way too hard to picture, Alec the sadistic Volturi member, dating somebody?
((That’s twice today so far that my day has been brightened because of that post. xD A thousand thank you’s!))
-----Pootnic looked up to find a rather odd-looking fellow - at least, to him - standing nearby. Suddenly his face became pleading, and he cried, “Please, sir, you have to help me! I think Mr. Pookins fell down the drain!"

Re: The Voices in My Head: Part III
Lisa and Coby locked eyes in a sideways glance for a few moments, and then looked back up at him. This time, it was Coby that spoke up, and not Lisa. "When he came," he began slowly, as if remembering something.
Everything had happened so suddenly. One moment, the girl called Cassandra was simply reaching up on the top shelf in Mort's writing room to get some paints, when she was suddenly behind held against the wall by a red-eyed, hungry looking vampire.
"...His eyes were red most of the time." Coby continued, and so did the memory.
"Alec." The girl in the memory cautioned, her eyes large. Already he was about to bite her throat. "You don't know what you're doing."
"You're right." Came another male voice as Damon appeared leaning against the door frame. He threw Alec across the room, scattering papers and paperweights of all sorts onto the floor.
"But now," Lisa started, and a memory from her mind came.
It was Darren Shan and Fish Beumont helping Cassandra up and out of the room, and then Godric--along with Damon-- holding Alec back.
"They're mostly gold."
