The Twilight Saga; Chapter 3; Something Is Stirring

A sad look came upon Hailey's face, and she looked like she was about to cry. "Are you mad at me?" She whimpered.

"I'll try to stop making it rain..." Hailey replied, now looking saddened, despite the fact that Jasper had said he wasn't mad at her. She hid her face in the crook of his neck again, trying to concentrate.

After a few minutes, hailey managed to calm herself, causing the storming out there to finally cease. "All better?" She asked, sounding guilty that she had made it rain.

I was calm, too, as well, and I lied my head on Hailey's. "Shhh..." I muttered dreamily. I was in my happy place... and Amanda wasn't. My eyes snapped open. "I'll take her." Alyssa muttered, lifting Hailey gently. She smiled brilliantly and walked downstairs with the little one. "I'm going to get her."

[And Step 3 begins. xD]

Hailey, however, was still awake as Alyssa carried her away-- although she did do a pretty good job at pretending she was asleep. She waved weakly at Jasper, and then hid her face.

"At their hideout." Came Jodi's voice. "In the forest. You won't have trouble finding them." She added.

As Jodi was sure he was out of hearing range, Jodi sighed, staring after him-- almost beyond him. "Things will change..." She whispered. "They have to."

"A vision that I saw." Jodi replied vaguely, still staring into the darkness of the trees.

Sookie looked up, her forget-me-not blue eyes widening. She glanced in the direction of the voice, "Get away, you big fat meanie!"

[oi, reply. xD]

Sookie stuck her tongue out. "That's 'cause your fat and nobody likes you." She added. [xD]

[xD]

"Ah, Jasper. I just needed you little human girlfriend and I knew I could get hold of you." He kicked Amanda merciliessly, and she winced, tears streaming. I could also make out spots of old blood, and fresh blood flowing, but I couldn't pay attention to that now. She sneezed, and Gregory laughed. "Humans get sick so easy... just leave them in the rain and you can kill them..."

Sookie growled, but now she was being held back by something. It looked like--whatever this thing was-- was holding her back by her wrists.

"Jasper, go!" I cried, the blood and tears mixing together. Gregory turned to glare at me, and I writhered in pain. "Go!" I screamed, my voice hoarse and weak. "I won't leave you, Amanda." He whispered, staring at me with concern. And then Gregory pounced.


"Leach? Um... it's been three days. I think we need to go after him."

"Exactly what I was thinking." Leach replied quietly, getting up. "I'll go alone."

[Follow el plan! Go with Hayden/Toby... see?

5. Hayden and Toby try and find Jasper, are captured.
6. They don't let Jasper feed for 2 months, then lock him in a room with me.
7. Jasper bites me and nearly kills me, until Toby/Hayden calm him down.
8. I'm taken into the in-between.
9. Someone gets me out of the in-between, but I'm delirious.
10. After Jasper drinks my blood, they don't let him feed for another two months, and then they get Leach [the thirst burning him- even more deja vu.]
11. Jasper gets the bad memories of Leach back.
12. Leach realizes what's going on and helps Jasper.
13. Jasper and Leach are stuck in the same cage, next to Toby, Hayden, and me, who is still delirious.
14. Toby/Hayden meet Elizabeth and Cecilia.
15. Explain to them about The Group.]

"I told you so." Amanda whispered from somewhere. "I didn't want you to suffer either." She coughed harshly, and I could hear the pain behind it. "It's fine." I soothed as she sneezed twice and shivered. "Amanda, take this." I took off the light jacket I was wearing to blend in and handed it to her, which stopped the shivering a little.
"But what if you're caught too?"

[Remember that I said I wouldn't be able to do the in-between part. ]

"That's exactly why we're comin' along." Came Hayden's country-accented voice. Suddenly, Toby and Hayden appeared on either side of Leach, hands folded behind their backs.

[Yeah, instead, I'm going delusional from loss of blood. ]

"Okay. Good luck." I sighed and told them the coordinates of the disturbance, biting my lip. "Come back in one piece, okay?"

"We will." Hayden promised, and the three disappeared into the forest.

"Jasper!" Came a hiss-like voice from the door of their cell-type-thingie or whatever. [xD]
