Yes, it did mention indirect things about aliens... Look at Ave's post on the first page. And actually... going back to my post, you could argue that it was the holy spirit. The thing is, these odd creatures didn't only occur in stories in the bible. They are also depicted on walls and such in Machu Picchu and places like that. The Incans didn't believe in the Holy Spirit, did they?

Re: Aliens?
This is to Ave. I see where you're going, but I have kinda a different theory for that. In the bible, it does state odd creatures that did exist. Such as dragons and such. Devil's work. But I think aliens don't exist again because it states in the Bible (Sorry if I'm refering to it too much.) that those creatures did exist, and if there were such thing as aliens, it would have said in the Bible, too. Not because man didn't know aliens did exist, but because the Holy Spirt knew they didn't.

Re: Aliens?
That's true, but it only means that if used in a certain context. So it could either mean space, or simply the Godly dimension. It's open to different interpretations, so I guess neither of us is right or wrong.Kataangluver715 wrote:Heavens do mean space. You can even look it up in a dictionary, or dictionary.com, because it DOES mean space. I have learned about space in sceince. Just out of the blue, have any rovers ever brought back alien pictures? Or was it planet rock pictures? And sometimes I even doubt that we're the only planet with life, but I do believe it, because even if there was life out there, they would have all died. No water, un-surrvivable tempertures, and no food. I just don't find it even remotely possible.
...Let me explain to you something.
Us humans do not know everything. We have not seen every planet in the universe. There's a 99% chance that there are other planets like ours, but we cannot visit them because they are too far away. Mars was once a survivable planet just like earth, but things changed. If Mars was once like us, then the odds are there are other planets like us too. All planets have different atmospheres that are different from actual space, and some of those atmospheres are liveable.
But you are right about one thing. No rovers have ever brought back alien pictures. But has anyone ever brought back pictures of God? No. But you still believe in Him, eh?
That's a very good point, Ave. I'm not sure if they believed in the Holy Spirit or not... But they were very astrologically advanced, so perhaps they knew something about the aliens that Christians didn't know about.Ave wrote:Komoda2000 wrote:

Re: Aliens?
The bible basically mentions everything indirectly if you look at it, it just depends on your point of view. The mention of the rover bringing back pictures of aliens is a bad example I think, because Mars is one planet out of A LOT of planets. There are also millions of stars just like our sun, infact, there are stars larger then our sun, so why can't there be another planet out there that is the same genral length from the sun that has the same conditions as us?
Now I'm not doubting God at all, I am a firm Christian, but I have come to believe that there is possibly other life out there.
Just felt like posting xD

They found water on the moon, didn't they?
And were still searching for traces of water on different planets.
Have we completely determined that there is no food and/or water on each planet?
And, if God willed it, couldn't he make a creature that could live in extreme temperatures or live in the icy cold of Pluto?
Just my thoughts.
Anywhooo...
I think this battle has already been fought, but I thought I would deliberate. XD
Also... Is there anything in the Bible that directly turns down the idea of aliens? I'm curious to know.

Good point, Sophie.
And, in fact, there isn't. The Bible neither confirms nor denies the existence of aliens, so there's definitely room for speculation. xP

Re: Aliens?
There's also star in the bible, the one that led the Three Kings to the infant Jesus. If they had been able to pinpoint where their destination was and reach it within one degree, the star would have had to be only a few miles above. Well, with stars, you could be a hundred miles away and it would still look like it was above you... so this star that led them towards the baby? It was certainly an odd star, if it was even a star at all. There's just so much evidence about aliens in the bible, in my opinion.
