Arianna's Holiday Blog for the 18th of December.
I swear that I had a holiday blog on the 23rd... Of some month. xD I don't know, it was a suggestion for the title of the thread.
So I've decided that I'm going to try really hard to write blogs on Fridays. I hope that'll work, because I still have to freewrite, and I try and get a new chapter of Imprisoned out every Saturday. I haven't started.
I have holidays now, until the 7th. I can't wait 'till Christmas! I like presents. x3 Anyway, not much else to say about that. Holidays are cool - I get to sit around and use the computer all day.
My throat feels really scratchy. xP At least I have holidays now, so I won't be sick at school. Oh well... Let's recount my boring week and then talk about more interesting stuff!
Monday... I don't know what we did. Not much, I can guess, to tell the truth. Tuesday... Haha, the same. Wednesday... If I really was interested in what we did, I think I would remember. Thursday... I actually remember it! But only because it was yesterday.
We had double English (did nothing) and a few other classes. As you can guess, nothing interesting happened. Math was OK, though, and I got 100% on the quiz on algebra. W00t! Then we had PE and German. As one could understand, that was horrible.
And then there was today. We had a half day. I like half days, but they're not half days. It's 5 out of 7 lessons, and the ones that I miss on Friday, if I have a half day (math and Spanish) just happen to be the ones that I like! xP
Still, today was good. We won the door decorating contest - you know, the one where I put the sign about us not decorating the door because it wasn't environmentally friendly? Yep. We won from grade 8. Even though I wonder why we weren't the most environmentally friendly door in secondary school. x1 We got candy canes, but I, being Arianna-the-girl-who'll-never-eat-sugar, didn't eat any. So much for a prize.
Double history was okay - we got our tests back, and finished a movie on the civil rights movement and Martin Luther King, Jr. I got 17 out of 20 on the test. It's 85% - pretty low for me, in most classes. But on my last tests in history, I got 16 out of 20. I'm going to count this as an improvement.
In German we had a 'Spiele-Stunde', which would be a 'games hour' if translated into English. It wasn't that fun... But hey, we didn't have to do work! It was probably the best lesson this semester! xD
We watched Faulty House (or something like that) in English. I read, though, because our teacher didn't really care. Last lesson we'd played Apples to Apples. It was OK, but I was in a group with all of these immature jerks. So it wasn't fun.
In Science we got our tests back. I got 40 out of 43. That's 93%. That's good, I guess. Not great, but it's a 7.
And then we came home. We're going to get a Christmas tree on Sunday, with about 35 people that we've invited (traditions are lovely) and it's supposed to be really cold. I don't even have a proper winter jacket. xD
Real life is boring. xP I'd rather talk about what I've read. I read this book called Speak a few days ago. It's about a girl who called the cops on a party and is really depressed and anything. It's a cool book. I like the style that it's told in. The sentences are really choppy, which is weird - I'm used to writing sentences which are about a billion words long. xD Now I'm reading another book, Exposed. It's really good, too. It's 14+, though. Don't tell my dad. xD
Back to Speak, though. There's a movie for it, too. Kristen Stewart plays Melinda (the main character). I watched a few trailers and the first two 'parts' (ten-minute-segments) on youtube, but I felt bad, so I've asked for the DVD for Christmas, along with a few other books.
I haven't coded much, lately. I'm trying to work on some stuff for TA, but I don't know where to start. *sigh* It's not that bad, though. I haven't written much, either. I'm aiming for 1000 words in freewriting a day. I haven't failed so far, but who knows. xD
Today I've still got to finish this blog (just a few more paragraphs), freewrite, and start the chapter for Imprisoned. And I really just want to do nothing and go on Twig, to tell the truth.
Bye!
