"...OK..." replied the goblin thinking that others might be interested "...so I will float another idea here, which might help, in that, if one doesn't want to mirror ones own sites with a second site, one can always mirror the membership by being in a small circle of forums, something one often sees when one turns up on member site, yes, those sites that have "why not visit our sister forums" normally as a bunch of floating boxes at the bottom of the screen, where again if one has wisely posted ones stuff across the one can then retrieve stuff at will...", actually the goblin was not only thinking of those times that the server closed ones site, but more simply when the server did maintenance meaning one was waiting for the server to go back on line to get the site back

And I've invested quite a lot of real money into this, and I have an adoptables site being launched on the 27th... things that are nothing without PixelPuppy.
I'm sorry, I don't understand, fleamailman. It doesn't make any sense to me... something about sister sites was all that I understood.
I'll look at that site, Shadow! I'm generally weary of cheap stuff as it might not fit my needs (the more I pay, the more understanding they'll be in terms of server strain, I think) but I'll look around... I still think that FatCow is the best option, as I remember it from before, when I was looking at hosting plans - it was the runner-up to webzpro.
Please listen to Keri, fleamailman. She's a mod, and when she tells you something it would be wise to follow it.

Yeah, I found like a whole list of really cheap sites actually. xD That was the only one I really looked at, but I wish I had some way of knowing if they were actually reliable in that aspect. Like, I'm pretty sure Twig would qualify as a "small business website" now, but what about in the future if it gets uber-popular? I don't wanna end up using some sort of hosting only to get shut down like PP did. Razz

We did receive your calls and email. Unlike our support desk customer service is not 24/7.
As per your agreement with WebzPro found at http://www.webzpro.com/policy.htm WebzPro can suspend, disable or terminate any site on our servers without warning in order to protect other paying clients on that server.
Your site was responsible increasing the load causing issues for other customers. Though it was not intentional server integrity must be protected. Connections were coming in so fast that this was not normal traffic most likely some sort of an attack, and it is highly unlikely you could have done anything buy removed the site.
We have re-instated the account and will monitor it closely. This could have been just a passing attack. But if it does happen again we will suspend the account, we will have no choice.
It is highly recommended you keep a back up of your data. We are not responsible for providing that to you if your site is suspended or removed.

Okay, so I got this. I'm going to try and transfer the site, I have no freaking idea what an 'attack' is, I do have a backup and I'm making another bazillion now, and crap, I really need to switch webhosts.
*sigh*
The battle begins. :(

Shadow, that's cool. I'm going to go with FatCow. I can't get on PixelPuppy from this computer (it just won't work) so I'll try and back everything up via a proxy and get the files safe and sound on my computer... again, FTP won't work. :( I'll keep you guys posted on what happens.

I have it back but it's very tenative, meaning they could remove it at any second without backup or anything. T-T I don't even know what the 'attacks' were... did anyone post their adoptable on some weirdly popular site? -.- I need to switch hosts, but my dad isn't here. And I need a backup, but I still can't access PixelPuppy normally and I can't access cPanel via proxy. Sad

So I can't get the backup. *sigh*

So yeah... I can't make backups or replace siggy.php right now 'cause I can't get into cPanel. Which is horrible, but I'll live. Razz

No, I'm trying to get in to get a full backup of the site as it is right now, but as our computers are being screwy and just now started loading pixelpuppy.net (OMG they are! I just saw it right now, and I'm ecstatic), I've gotta do that now.
