Alissa shrugged her shoulders lightly, "She could be a Wielder, I don't think anyone in the family has had that power, but I know that it exists. I think it means you can use any power that your brothers and sister have."

Tim grimaced and looked up at her. He shrugged; what was there to say? Thanks? Yeah, I know? Okay? None of those seemed right. He glanced away. "Warren sent you." he said bluntly--an accusation, almost, not a question at all.

Tim looked back up at her, his forehead creasing, "I am?" he asked, sounding surprised by this. Usually people went for Jami--the cool guy. The strong one. The funny one. Not the wimpy, lanky, weaker one who considered himself a total nerd even though he wasn't.

Tim reached up and pulled at his curtains. They parted, showing a perfect view of where she and Warren had been sitting. He gave her another faint smile. "You're lucky," he murmured. Secretly--waaaay deep down in his heart--he still sorta loved her. But he'd never say it. Warren would murder him.
