Just My Luck

Ever had that one moment where you say, "Aww man!" or maybe.. "Just my luck!"? Yeah, it happens, every once in a while. But for these girls, they've never had one of those good times, where you'd say, "Yea! Whoo!" and rub it in everyone's face. One day they all unexpectedly meet, seeing they're all facing the same difficulty, they're gonna find out whats up.

I walked the busy streets of New York city, and held my hand up for a cab. A car slithered by, getting muddy water all over my clothes.

Sophie pelted down the soccer field, dribbling the ball. She pulled back a leg to shoot into the opposing team's net when the monster defenseman crashed into her, pushing Sophie into the dirt with her hands at full force. Then she stepped on Sophie's foot and twisted it. Sophie screamed as a whistle was blown for a penalty.

"Ugh! I just bought this yesterday!" Obviously I was mad... stupid cab. So I decided to walk to my apartment.

Julie walked down the street with a purse full of money from the ATM. It was shopping time. There were a million people walking on the street. She saw a girl get splashed by a car and almost laughed. While watching the girl, and man walked by and stole her purse. "Hey!" She shouted, running after the guy, her heels clacking against the sidewalk. "Help! Police! He stole my purse!" No one payed attention as she ran after him. Tears fell down her face and she tripped on her heels and did a faceplant.

I almost felt bad for the girl nearby. As tears dropped down her face, I kicked my high heels off my feet. I knew I was making a mistake though. I started to run for the burglur, being the fastest on the running team [when I was little], I knew I could grab her purse. 'BEAVER! it!" I shreiked as my foot hit that sharp nail. But I just kept going, and managed to grab her purse. Only did my foot bleed a little, okay, I take that back, alot. But I didn't mind. I went over to the girl, who apparently had bad luck also, and handed her her purse.

Julie looked up, getting off the ground slowly. "Thanks." She said, taking her purse. "I'm Julie, by the way." She smiled meekly as the burglar was shoved into a police car.
Sophie limped down the street, looking for police, ambulance, something.No one had payed any attention to her leg, so she had left, hurt. Sophie feared it was fractured.

I looked down at my injured foot. I slipped my heels back on, going to look for someone... something. "Isobel. And your welcome!" I gave a weak smile.

Julie noticed a limping girl walk past them. "Hey, are you okay?"

I was wet, in mud. Injured, still bleeding a bit. I felt horrible. And that was true. Just then I saw another girl, limping as I did. "You alright?" I said, as I passed by her.
