"So you're telling me someone needs a reason to be friends with him?" I raised my eyebrow, turning it around on her.

I stared at my plate, letting the girls battle it out. I honestly didn't care.

I still didn't look up. Why couldn't Lizzie just shut up and go away? I'd taken enough of her crap the last few months.

I mentally rolled my eyes and got up from the bench. "Nice talking with you," I said snidely to Lizzie and headed to the common room. Did I want to answer her stupid questions? Ah, no.

I crossed my arms over my chest and glared at Jake, preparing to stare him down until he answered my questions, but then he looked up, and the look he gave me was so full of guilt and sorrow as he turned and left that I dropped my arms and let him be.

I stopped walking after the doors when I heard footsteps behind me. I was pretty sure that Lizzie would drill him for answers, though, clearly I was wrong.
"You okay?" I asked slowly.

I scowled at him, walking up to the Gryffindor door. Unfortunately the painting wanted to have a talk. I spoke the password and instead of opening up she said: "Oh, now wait a minute! Watch this."
And she sang.
