"No you may not!" said Lesley, cutting him off. "How soon will . . . he be able to get out of this place?"

"So, about three days" said Aliss to Lesley.

-----He slowed as he approached her, then cleared his throat as he began to circle her. It was the next best thing to hovering in place, which he unfortunately wasn't capable of doing. Now that would've been a useful mutation. "Um - hi. You're . . . like me," he simply said. Then after a few seconds' pause, he added, "My name's Canyon."

"Hello, and yes, I am like you. I'm Sarah" she said. Sha continued to flap her wings, which were cream with lavender tips.

-----A grin spread across his face. "Nice to meet you, Sarah," Canyon replied, his eyes lighting up. Suddenly everything seemed a lot more bright - maybe he wasn't so alone after all?
-----But then his joy faltered, and his face returned to that simple, almost curious expression. He was alone, no matter what.
-----"So, ah - how old are you, if you don't mind me asking?" he questioned Sarah. "I'm sixteen."

-----Canyon's eyes widened as he blinked, momentarily concealing his dark blue eyes. "E . . . rasers? What do you mean, erasers?" he asked Sarah. Surely there weren't actually any nearby, were there?! And after all these months of safety . . . here he was, back in the danger zone yet again.

"By erasers, I mean the wolfy-human hybrids. They seem to pop up at the worst possible times" said Sarah quietly.
