this thread needs a bit more work... (:
maturity: as high as it can go.
fantasy: it's demons and angels, folks, i mean, really. but, if you need a level for your graph, medium-to-high.

- Demons and angels walk the streets, determined to slaughter each other. Humans go about their daily business, blissfully and totally unaware of who (and what) else prowls in the night.
But when two teens - a demon and an angel, respectively - are captured by a third, unknown force,
ALL INSANITY BREAKS LOOSE.
MENTALLY, WE'RE PRETTY NORMAL.
It's taught that demons hate angels and angels hate demons, so they pretty much grow up not knowing anything about the other aside from, for the angels, that demons are a bloodthirsty lot that'll do anything to kill, and for the demons, that angels are ice-bound warriors who don't give a flying pancake about anyone aside from themselves and therefore deserve to be wiped out.
So there's, like. Constant battles and such over the ages between the two species. And the humans aren't TOTALLY unaware of this - the temperature in the cities that have demons and angels crawling about tends to be really... odd. Warm one day, frozen the next.
'Course, said humans don't know what it's really about, and just attribute it to weird climate change and stuff.
PHYSICALLY? THAT'S A DIFFERENT STORY.
Well, the fact that we're technically supernatural creatures isn't evident to most humans, unless the human is particularly sensitive to, say, auras or vibes or what have you. So it isn't like a typical human is going to see a demon in the street and run away screaming.
ANGELS have naturally pointed chins and pointed ears (a trait that both species share, actually), have thin hands and have a pair of bird-like/feathery wings that sprout from their shoulders. The wings can be any color combonation - realistic or otherwise, although they tend to be more like actual bird colors. Their eyes, usually, don't have pupils - and the sclera is a lighter shade of the iris.
They also have thin, bird-like bones - so they're easy to break.
Angels tend to despise humans, from simply not liking them to outright hating them nearly as much as they hate demons.
DEMONS tend to be shorter and thicker, with heavier eyebrows and their faces usually aren't as thin as angel faces and such. Heavier eyebrows, small hands - they're strong as a general species, although of course it depends from being to being.
The traits that set them apart are bat-like wings, horns that can be curved, ribbed, spiraling, straight, wavy... ect. And a tail that can be slightly furry - not heavily, though -, leathery, or scaled. And they have clawed toes. As for the eye bit, the sclera is the same color as (or can be darker than) the iris and they have vertically slit pupils like a cat.
Demons are, oddly enough, quite friendly to humans. They hate sunlight and snow, however.
