You Lived Through The Pain

A single tear rolls down your cheek
You're tired and worn, so very weak
You wish the pain would come to an end
Your broken heart may never mend

The hurt, betrayal, gossip and lies
Followed by tears and final goodbyes
Life isn't always rainbows and butterflies
It can be suffering, sorrow, and unheard cries

But in the midst of your sorrow, comes a single light
As small as the tear that falls after the fight
A glow that might make everything alright
After the dark, it's such a wonderful sight

So let go of the past and hurt that remains
You made it through the thunder and rain
The tears have washed away all your stains
Believe it or not, you lived through the pain
