Eagle's tail lashed. "He's on my land." she swiped a paw at him.

Umbra turned and looked at Hace. "This is a battle you cannot win." she lashed her tail.
Hace dipped his head. "I will be back." he said, simply, and flew off.

[Well, that's not what I was expecting to happen . . .]

Eagle flicked her tail. She looked up at the sky. It began to rain. She shook her muzzle and stood up. "We should both be getting back to our dens."

The Queen took a step back, her large golden-pink eyes studying Dawn carefully.

Koln spoke first, "Dawn . . . this is Her Majesty, Sabbine. Sabbine, this is Dawn . . . she's also an Arasund."

I looked quickly at Koln. "Ex-Arasund." I said, putting emphasis on the Ex part. Then, I turned my head to Sabbine. "But still always an Arasund at heart, Your Majesty." I said, bowing my head to not look her in the eyes. I have learned that the King doesn't like you to look into his eyes if you aren't royal, but to keep your head down. I wanted to be safe if the Queen was the same way.

"I see . . ." said the queen. "Where do you live? I've never seen you before, I would have remembered seeing those baroque feather wings of yours." she stated, nodding her crowned head towards Dawn's shoulders.

I grinned. "I live everywhere, and nowhere. Everywhere that I am, but nowhere in particular." I said, looking at the ground still. When she complimented my wings, I slightly stretched them out and shook them.

Sabbine smiled, and also spread out concealed wings, which appeared more like thin, white, spiderwebs that flowed along in the air. "They don't fly anymore." she said. "Not since His Majesty ordered the blood veins to be removed in punishment for—" she stopped and looked down at the floor guiltily.
Koln also looked down at the floor in self reproach. He sighed and spoke up, "I'll carry Quixerra to my office, Sabbine, why don't you show Dawn around town?" he suggested, leaving the two females and dragging away Quixerra.
Sabbine looked up and smiled. "Alright, come, Dawn." she said, trotting away down the corridor.
