Ever smiled faintly and nodded, "I see," she said thoughtfully, "When did you move here with her?"

"Three years ago," he asnwered calmly to that question.

"No she won't" Noah said, sitting in the nearest chair and watching Heather and David

Tim winced. Without another word he turned and left. What was he going to do? He couldn't just blurt, "I'm sorry, I was feeling depressed so I decided to kiss Hope. I know it was stupid, I was just trying to make myself feel better and I don't really love her. I love you." No, he couldn't say that. She wouldn't believe him. Heart in pieces, he ran into his and Jami's room and slammed the door.

Jami threw his arms out, "Common, Lizzie, don't I get some loooove too?" he whined.

Squealing, Liz hugged Katie tightly. "EEEEEEEEEEEEEE!"

Drina giggled, "Why am I only hugging your leg?"

Will silently kissed the top of her head and pulled away a little, just smiling at her.

I giggled and blushed so horribly that it wasn't funny. "Seriously?" I squeaked.

Hazel giggled, "Sure, but I warn you, I don't really know how."

Hope walked in to the Ballroom, with alittle help from kelly, and was wearing a nice black dress and a bandana covering her bandage on her head. She looked very pale..

"Yup!" David lied, this was a line he used on most girls "It was like..what do they calll it...Love at first sight"

Richy laughed, taking her hand and leading her onto the dance floor "Don't worry, niether do I" he mouthed.

Lizzie was completely acting as if Tim wasn't there. She laughed and snorted at Jami, "From the looks of it last night you got some 'looove'," she crooned and looked back at Cassie.

"You're so lucky that I missed you like crazy," she glared at her best friend and giggled.


Kattie snorted and hugged her back akwardly, "I take you missed me too?" She looked at her little sister, "Cause I can't exactly move, Drina."

"Little ghostie's back from the dead," came a laugh from behind and David stood there calmly watched the love-fest.

Liz snorted, "Not at all," she replied sarcastically. She pulled away slightly and picked up Drina so that

Drina could wrap her arms around Katie's neck. "I missed you," she sniffled before starting to cry.


Jami wiggled his eyebrows. "Actually, yes, yes I did," With a wink at Cassie he hugged Lizzie tight.

I giggled. I totally and completely believed him. That was one of my downfalls; I fell to fast, I believed too many people. I gazed up at him for a moment. "Oh..." I breathed, so happy I felt fit to burst.

Hazey giggled. She placed her hands on his shoulders and smiled at him; "Like your shirt," she mouthed.

"Because, why would a girl like Heather like a guy like me?" He asked, looking over at Heather with a frown and a sigh "Don't tell her Taylor, please"

Liz snorted, "Not at all," she replied sarcastically. She pulled away slightly and picked up Drina so that

Drina could wrap her arms around Katie's neck. "I missed you," she sniffled before starting to cry.


Jami wiggled his eyebrows. "Actually, yes, yes I did," With a wink at Cassie he hugged Lizzie tight.

Lizzie started laughing and hugged him but quickly turned to Cassie again. She moved forward and muttered something in question.

"A friend of mine actually."


Katie hugged Drina and kissed the top of her sister's head, "I missed you too, Drina," she smiled and hugged the little girl tight in her arms.

Corie, all the while, had her hands pressed to her temples, "If that dirtbag does anything, I swear, I'll go into a violent fit..." She muttered.

"Because, why would a girl like Heather like a guy like me?" He asked, looking over at Heather with a frown and a sigh "Don't tell her Taylor, please"

"Wow you all are so thick... Boys in general," her tone wasn't sharp but it was like she was caring. "Y'all don't get, we want a guy.. 'we' meaning girls in general. We want a guy who does stupid stuff, can't say what he means the first hundred times, thinks we're something special and really cares about us. Looks fade and we know that, people say that but girls truthfully get that. So I don't see why she couldn't like you." Padfoot snorted, "Wouldn't dream of it... Unless she says she likes you-- I'm kidding."

Corie, all the while, had her hands pressed to her temples, "If that dirtbag does anything, I swear, I'll go into a violent fit..." She muttered.

"You and I both," snorted Padfoot but she smiled at her friend calmly. "I hate to admit it but I agree with Prongs, there's something I don't like about him..."

David leaned in and kissed Heather, smiling in his mind

Noah was about to reply but then his heart dropped and he slowly pointed at David. Noah's lips began to tremble slightly as he watched.

"Something you don't like? Look at 'im!" Corie's brown eyes showed boiling anger. she wasn't mad at them, no, this was just plain ol' Corie, "He just screams.... suckishness!" Her ears became even more pointed, "If he does anything, I swear, I'll take his big dumb... dumby head and just..." She pounded one fist on her palm. Corie didn't like this guy from the start, for some reason, his very voice annoyed her. When he saw was David did, and how Noah reacted, this is what set her off. Right then and there, she disappeared, nothing left but a tiny bat, and she flew at David's head, yanking his hair with her talons. Before he had time to see her, she disappeared.

My heart raced a million miles an hour. I was so surprised I almost pulled away. But, I didn't; I relaxed and kissed him back, butterflies erupting in my stomach.

Liz and Will stepped back,

Drina burried her face in the crrok of Katie's neck, still crying.

A battle? she wondered, curious but not wanting to be snoopy by asking a lot of questions. "Oh, well I'm from a small village far away from here," she told him, "when my parents saw the dragon, they told me to get out.. I heard about this place from a stranger along my travels and I figured I didn't have anywhere else to go. So here I am."
She didn't seem to broken up about her parents kicking her out, but her eyes were slightly glittery with moisture.

Derrick nodded calmly and smiled at her, "Well, I'd almost prefer that to mine. My dad's a Slayer and he tried to kill my mom. Well she survived but we went to live with out God-father so from seven to fifteen we sailed the seven seas."

Taylor covered her face with her hands and moaned, "Corie, Corie, Corie..." But she was snarling too, her teeth lengthed somewhat; she was going partially wolfie. "I'm gonna cave his face in..." she snarled, her voice was deeper and huskier than before.

Jami smiled. "How'd you get back?"

Liz and Will stepped back,

Drina burried her face in the crrok of Katie's neck, still crying.

Lizzie snorted, "I just told you. I don't exactly know though. Kat and I were by the lake and we woke up in our rooms; end of story."

Katie smiled and hugged Drina, rubbing her sister's back, "I feel so much better now," she hugged her sister continually.
