My eyes fluttered shut, and my hands slid to clasp loosely behind his neck. Okay, so where was the "bird" now? I guessed that Corie had gone off somewhere...hopefully far away. I wasn't in the mood to be interrupted again.

Noah sighed, shaking slightly "I bet he wouldn't mess me if he knew I was part vampire..I mean, we don't actually drink blood, but he doesn't know that..." Noah said, a very mischevious expression on his face.

"Oh, I see. He sounds like a cute little thing," she said, trying to visualize the creature. "Perhaps him and Wyndar would get along."

Wyndar snorted. You sound like a desperate mother trying to get their miserable child to make friends, he told her. I may be young but I will always be your elder, remember that. I'll make friends on my own accord.

My eyes went wide again but I didn't object; I kissed him once more, sort of surprised that he wasn't breathless yet. And I hoped that my breath didn't stink. (It didn't.)

"Noah, Noah, Noah..." came a laugh as a black wolf broke into the lake shore. "Deseption? I've taught you well!" she grinned at him and sat beside him with her tail around her paws.

I used to think that when you kissed someone, you could just breathe out your nose or something so the kiss could last longer. Boy was I wrong! A little while later I was forced to pull away or risk fainting; I couldn't breathe! I took a few moments to catch my breath, hoping he wasn't going to try and kiss me again just yet.

She smiled back but didn't know what else to say. She shuffled her feet, looking absentmindedly at the ground.

I pulled away only a few seconds later. I freed one of my hands and clamped it lightly over his mouth. "Please!" I gasped, giggling a little. "I ca...an't...breathe...for...goo...d...n...ess'...sake!!"
