The Guards

"Well...first he asked me out...then he asked me to sleep over and we lost our self-control and sorta...ya know..." I told her.

"Oh," Freya said, looking down. "Well, how long along are you?"

"Uh, around two months."

"Oh," she said. "Well, honestly, I'm kinda upset and happy for you at the same time." Freya smiled weakly.

[Change that to three months X3] I sighed. "I would think so."

Libby wasn't listening.

Freya sighed. She didn't know what to say.

I looked at her. "We're still friends, right?"

"Yeah," Freya said, looking at her.

I hugged her. "Thanks."

"Welcome," Freya said, smiling. She hugged Liz back.

I smiled and leaned back against the couch to watch Libby.

Libby looked at Liz. "Do you have any Barbies?" she asked.

Freya smiled.

"Uh, I used to but I gave them away because I didn't play with them anymore."

"Oh," Libby said, looking disappointed.

Freya rolled her eyes. "You play with Barbies 24/7," she said.

I smiled softly, remembering when I was that little.

Freya looked over at Liz. "It's all she does," I laughed slightly.

"Really?" I sighed softly and closed my eyes.

"Pretty much." Freya looked at her. "You ok?"

"I'm alright, just tired." I laid my arms over my stomach.

Freya frowned. "Does the baby kick you?" she asked.

"Not yet. I have to wait a month for that...and I'm having twins you know," I told her.

My eyes widened. "Really?"

I nodded. "Yeah. I'm a bit scared, actually."

"It'll be ok," Freya said.

I sighed softly. "I really hope so."
