"Yes, and so was I... Please, Kathy... Try to understand this... I'm here for your safety... And I might not see you again... So, I'm sorry for how I was, and hope that you have more luck than I..." He looked at her, sympathetic eyes, but a serious face.

Ceara hung back, looking for a smaller hoody of Jesse's. She found one, and told her to put it on. She could smell it, and it smelled good, as always. It was a vampire thing. "Here, wear this... It'll keep the trackers away longer..."

Kathy sighed & put it on. " Okay." She looked at Jesse then. Out of impulse she hugged him, " But why might I not see you again? " she said, " I mean, you're gonna be alright. Please. "

Jesse was surprised because of the hug, yet out of habit, he hugged her back. "Kathy... I hope you know... I might die doing this... It me... Against maybe... 8 to 15 werewolves... I can only make it for so long... I'm only strong enough to a certain point... Until they find my weak point... Then... I'm screwed..." he looked down at her. "I'm sorry to tell you... But it's true... I'm doing this for you, and I'm ok with it..." his hoody wasn't such a familiar thing to him, once she wore it. Her scent wouldn't show through quickly though.

Ceara stayed back, and watched.

" But that's not fair.... " she shook her head, " Why do you have to do this? Then for me? I'm nothing special. "

"To them... You are... To me... You also are... So... They go for you... Something important to me... I'm sure Ceara's explained... It's probably all just old news to you..." he said, shaking his head.

" Why does it have to be something important to you? " she mumbled. " I should stop asking stuff... " she sighed & shook her head.

"Because... They want to make me weak..." he said.

Ceara shot him a look saying they were getting closer, and that he should go.

"Kathy... I've got to go... It's time... I - like I said - might not see you... So. Goodbye." he said, doing his best to at least slightly smile.

Kathy shook her head then gave him another tight hug, " Goodbye. I'll miss you. " she said, then went besides Ceara.

He nodded, once. Then he was gone, out the back door. He ran into the woods. He closed his eyes as he ran, and hoped for the best.

"Should I keep you here for now? Or would you rather leave?" she asked, looking at her sympathetically.

Kathy shook her head, " I'd rather leave, really. "

"Ok... Come... I'll get you out of her, quickly... We'll just stay in the temporary house... In another state... It makes me seem normal... But, no matter what the temperature may be... Keep that on... At least until I say to take it off... Unless you choose not to..." she was already in the car. "All I can say, that's at least good bout it... Or two things rather... It'll always smell like that... It's a vampire things... Especially by the males... They're just like that... And, it's not too heavy. The heat," she put air quotes around heat, "shouldn't be too unbearable..." She started the car.
"You'll be able to talk to Jesse... Maybe... Sometimes... If he can... He'll mostly talk to me though... To give news..." she said, "I gave him cellphone... It'll bring me news... And you... I don't know..."

" Ahh, okay, " she said, nodding & getting into the car.

Ceara again took off. She was quiet... She knew Kathy couldn't fall asleep... But she could. She was dreading that, but drove quickly. Soon they were three states away. "Ok... If you want, you can take the hoody off now... Like I said... If you want..."

Jesse was so far, doing well. He'd killed a few werewolves, and found out; these were'nt anything normal. They were against a lot of things. He was able to get away fora while. He was a little bit weaker. It sucked it his world. But he didn't care. There kept being more and more. He called Ceara. "This sucks..." he said as she answered.
"I bet... How many are there?" she asked.
"Too many... I fought off and killed enough... But, there's more... Of lots of species, now..." he said, with a sigh.
"Oh... Well... Good luck with all this... What else is going on?" she asked.

Kathy nodded, then looked at her as she answered the phone. She bit her lip, nervously, " Is that Jesse? "

Ceara looked over, and whispered, "Yeah... He's telling me how it's going... Why?" she asked. "He's well, sorta... So far..." she mouthed.

Kathy shook her head, " Nothing, just ... wondring how he's doing, " she shrugged. She looked outside. She tried not to show it, but on the inside she was incredibly worried.

Ceara rolled her eyes sarcastically. She put it on speaker. "Tell her you're ok... Or something... Please... She can hear you, trust me..."
"Kathy... I'm fine... Don't worry. I'm more concerned about you..." he said. He looked around, making sure everything was clear.

Kathy nodded, " Okay, that's good then... " she said.

"Thank you for doing that Jes... She's a little nervous and worried... I don't like it... But, we're almost to safety..." Ceara said.
Jesse smiled. "Good... I managed to at least get away. So, while I've got time... Keep me occupied with things. Anything..."
Ceara thought, "What the weather like...?" she randomly asked.
"Cloudy... What else would it be...? Another..."

Kathy sighed, & put her cheek on her hand, looking outside.

Ceara looked frustrated as she pulled up at the cabin. "I can't think of anything el-"
Jesse was rushing around, and it was easily told. "I've got to go... They're coming... Quickly..." the phone was off of speaker on Ceara's end now. "Tell Kathy I miss her, and hopefully will see her soon. Bye C." he hung up, and Ceara looked at Kathy. "He says he misses you, and will possibly, hopefully see you soon..."


(I think I'll make it where Jesse comes close to death...)

Kathy nodded, " Okay... " she said, " I miss him too, " she mumbled, still looking outside.

Ceara nodded. "Me too... But, he's like a brother, so we probably miss him differently..." she said. She got out, and got the bag of her stuff. "Good, your scent still hasn't broke through his..." she said, closing the doors.

Kathy scrunched her eyebrows, " ... What do you mean we miss him differently" she asked, getting out of the car.

"Different perspectives... Ugh... Sorry... You don't have to sleep... I do... It's getting to me... I mean... I don't miss him too much, but I do..." she said.
