The wolves of Viruarya-UPDATED

After he shook his fur at me, I laughed and shook mine away from him so I was dry. "What shall we do now?" I asked politely, looking around for ideas.

Fotia smiled. "Thank you, Adriano." She closed her eyes and drifted to sleep.

"I dunno," Rand replied, looking at the fea with big blue eyes.

Adriano felt her fall asleep, so he decided to rest, as well, curled tightly around her.

Fotia whimpered in her sleep. Her legs slightly kicked once, Pushed Adriano off of her.

My eyes fluttered to the ground when I saw his large eyes. "Perhaps we can learn a bit more about each other?" I suggested.

Adriano hit the ground, and he instantly woke up, in a daze. He saw the fea whimpering, kicking her legs, and he debated waking her up. Deciding with it, he nudged her gently.

Rand nodded. "Sounds good," he replied.

I smiled. "How long have you been in the pack?" I asked, looking up at him.

"About two years," Rand replied, nodding.

Fotia woke up dazed, thinking she was still asleep and in her nightmare. She jumped up and whimpered, taking a step back and away from Adriano. What wasn't really there, her mind made her see.

I nodded in understanding. "I've been here... well most of my life, actually." I said, looking up at the sky.

"What's the matter, Fotia?" Adriano asked, completely terrified that he'd done something wrong.

"That's cool," Rand replied, nodding. "Uhm, are any of your siblings alive still?" he asked, curious.

Fotia flintched and then took another step back, truely terrified. "H-how did you make my father talk, you evil, two-legged murdurer?" she whispered to the hunter that wasn't there.

I sighed. "I have no siblings. One of those wierd cases when only one wolf comes out. Well, actually, only one came out alive." I explained, thinking back on the time my parents explained I should have four brothers and sisters, but they died upon birth.

"Pardon me? Fotia! It's me, Adriano. You're not asleep, at all, Fotia." Adriano advanced.

Rand cleared his throat. "Oh," he said, hoarsley. He sighed. "I had two sisters," he added.

"What happened to them?" I asked, then realized he probably didn't want to talk about it. "Sorry, you don't have to tell me." I added quickly.

Fotia kept taking steps back until she was cowering and trembling in the corner, scared for her life. Her eyes never left the sharp rock pointed towards her, but in reality there was nothing there.

"It's fine," Rand said, before adding, "They..passed away..because..my dad..he..he was abusive." Remembering his past brought tears to his eyes.

Adriano sat, head cocked, looking at the fea.

I moved so I was sitting beside him. "I'm sorry." I whispered, gently wiping the tears from his eyes with my muzzle.

Tears came up to Fotia's eyes as she squeezed them shut and looked down, bracing herself to be killed.

"It's...it's not your fault," Rand replied, letting out a long sigh.

Adriano shook his head, then waited to see what she would do next.

"Let's change the subject." I suggested, wanting to get his mind off of his sisters.

Fotia looked up, fear in her eyes. "Well? What are you waiting for? Just do it," she said through gritted teeth.

Rand nodded, tears ceasing their flow.

"I don't think we're ready for the 'it' I'm thinking of, Fotia," Adriano replied, confused.

"Just kill me and get it over with!" Fotia screamed at him.
