Suddenly Dairka broke into a run, pelting back towards camp as fast as her paws would take her.

When she was finally back, she slowed to a halt, breathing heavily. Dairka was still a little freaked out, however, as illustrated by her constant glancing around. "I think we're safe."

"Right," Dairka answered, nodding a little and shuffling her paws. She was a little ashamed to have forgot - it was just so confusing, all at once, to find a father and a sister. And to think her sister had been right under her nose the past few days!

My eyes scanned the savannah pointlessly. My entire life had just turned topsy-turvy and I was still dizzy. Or that's what it felt like, anyway.

Dairka yawned, stretching her stiff muscles when she woke up that morning. The sun was just barely up, so the savannah was still chilly. Her fur fluffed up as she padded outside.

I woke with a start, realizing as I blinked open my eyes that I must have fallen asleep on the savannah. I stood, stretching my stiff limbs as I scanned the savannah subconsciously.
