RACE AGAINST MACHINES (JUNE SIXTH TWO THOUSAND TEN) --- Spoons?
I'm kinda winging it today.
RACE AGAINST MACHINES
My name is Akeria. At least, that's what you can call me. I'm an opinionated writer. You don't have to read what I have to say, but take into consideration, you might want to listen. Use your ears, all of your senses as you read my blog posts. More often than not, they're deeper than what they appear.

Two Thousand Ten
Two Thousand Ten
Poem of The Day
Spoons, spoons, clackle tunes,
mixing juices, mashing prunes.
Stirring chocolate, making dough.
Pray what, if all the spoons would go?
Why then we’d have to use our hands,
use our brains;
make other plans.
Big ones, little, plastic, brass.
some with silver (spoons with class.)
Keep them in a messy drawer.
Leave at school –
make mommy sore.
Bowl and handle - that’s the drill,
since who knows when,
til God knows will.
A simple yet a crucial tool.
Without them
we might seem the fool.

What I Really Have To Say Today
I was at work for SO LONG yesterday. Seriously, I thought I was going to pry out my eyes with a spoon. Hence the title of this blog. I'm not in a creative mood at all right now. And I'm procrastinating on writing the rest of chapter... four? For my TWS novel. I won't even bother updating with my word count etc, because it's just about the same as yesterday. I'm a slacker...
So, I'm liking my novel at the moment. I feel really committed to it (even if I'm not writing right at this second...) and I think I might actually finish it -gasp- I know, right? Shocking. But I've started my character development for my next novel, though I don't like it as much... Apparently, to keep myself focused on a story, I need to write down plot points. I'd never done that before -Looooooong anagram- WDYDWYROOT Hahahaha, that's amazing. It ends in root... Oh, easily amused. But yes I'd never written down major plot points before... this novel, and it's really keeping me on track, which I would say is positive.
I had Cheerio's for breakfast today. Num. :3 They're so good, and I don't know why, because they're just like... grain circles... Like, there's nothing special about them, and yet there is. Nummy.
I'd like to thank everyone for voting for Sn0w White3 as one of the Featured stories of this month, it really means a lot to me. Thank you. However, that being said, that story is on hiatus until I... not necessarily finish WDYDWYROOT, but... until I get further ahead in the plot of it. Same goes with Quarantine, Prone and From A Distance, though... those really haven't been updated too often lately... Heh.
Oh, and I had an idea. I think (this is assuming that I finish WDYDWYROOT over the summer) that I'll use most of NaNoWriMo to write a new novel, and then I'll actually get to edit during December! Yes! I think it's December... Correct me if I'm wrong, please.
So last night, my parents went to a party, so I had to put my little brothers to bed. No big deal, right? Well, there was thunder and lightening, and the power was threatening to go out. Not so fun. Not to mention it was hoooooooooot. I slept in the basement, because it's cooler down there. Too bad one of my brothers got up at 5:30 and came down to the basement to play the Wii. He turned on the lights, and stormed down the stairs, and I was like... "No." And then he left.
I still love my iPod.
My family is playing Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door at the moment. It's quiiiiiiite entertaining. I really like it, because it's like a puzzley game, because you have to figure things out and stuff. The only problem with it is the exposition. As a writer, I look at it and I'm like "Is all of this really necessary? I didn't think so." But, it's a fun game, even if it is for GameCube.
I've beaten it once before (I think... Or was that Super Paper Mario... We have both) but I don't remember like any of it, so I figured I'd play it again. God Bless the people who make guides for this game, because there's so much to document; sidekicks, powerups, items, where the items are, where you can buy the items, how much the items cost, star pieces, shine sprites, abilities, power-ups, and not to mention the actual walkthrough including the badguys, their abilities, etc. It's a lot.
I think that's all for today? I'm going to go finish chapter four. Unless I see something shiny and it distracts me... That is quite the possibility.

WDYDWYROOT is such an interesting abbreviation. xD
1. What video-game system do you have? A wii.
2. What's your favorite game? What game are you playing right now? Dunno, and I'm not playing anything. xD
3. Did it rain at your house last night? Was there thunder and lightning? No rain, no thunder and lightning. xD
4. Do you have to do plot points to keep focus? Well, I'm actually writing out a kind of overview of the whole thing right now 'cause I had horrible writers' block earlier.
5. Have you ever had Cheerios? What flavor? I used to eat normal cheerios with nutella all the time. But I don't exactly eat unhealthy stuff anymore.
6. Are you slacking on writing for the summer by reading this blog? Well. Um. Maybe. YES, I totally am.
7. Are you answering no to this question? Of course not! xD

But by saying "No." To number seven, aren't you saying yes?

That poem is so gorgeous!
(You should use 'All in Green Went My Love Riding' next; it's beautiful.)

If I say 'of course', then it means I'm saying that I am saying no. If I say 'of course not', then it means that of course I'm not saying no. So I'm saying yes, and it works, 'cause I'm saying 'of course not', which isn't 'no'.
Yup.
Yup.

Ari, that confused me... XD

It confused me, too.
Which is bad, considering I wrote it. xD

1. What video-game system do you have?
The Wii! I also have a DS, which I tend to play more. (Oh, and the Gamecube and N64 I will NEVER get rid of.)
2. What's your favorite game? What game are you playing right now?
The only games I really play on Wii are Guitar Hero and Rockband. I'm playing POKEMON HEARTGOLD on the DS, though. (So mature, so mature...)
3. Did it rain at your house last night? Was there thunder and lightning?
Nah, it was just really humid...
4. Do you have to do plot points to keep focus?
Nothing keeps me focu- I want a fruit roll-up for some reason....
5. Have you ever had Cheerios? What flavor?
Who hasn't had cheerios?! I like Frosted best, but you really can't beat the classic....
6. Are you slacking on writing for the summer by reading this blog?
Yep. I slack for everything.
7. Are you answering no to this question?
Ha, I get it. Because if you say "No, I'm not" you just asnwered with 'no', and if you wanted to answer 'no', you'd write 'yes', but that would mean you weren't answering 'no'....Oh, you're clever. It's like saying "This statement is false".
