Closed After...

What if, after a certain amount of time, threads could be closed? Like, after 2 weeks of no posts, it was allowed to be closed, and if the owner wants it opened, they can PM a mod. Is this a good idea?

I think we seriously need something like this, but the thing is I don't know how to make it happen automatically, so we'd have to do it all by hand. xP (Do any of you Forumotion users know of a feature that can do this, though? xD)

Wouldn't that be the pruning feature, with close threads?

I think so, but doesn't the pruning feature delete threads? Or move them to the basket? It'd probably be a better idea to have everything stay in the open forum so we can at least still see everything.

So, should mods start closing threads that haven't been posted on for 2 weeks?

Well, for simplicity's sake, maybe we should just leave them.
