(*Name*)Michael Bearring
(*Age*)19
(*Runner or Officer*)Runner
(*Description*)Michael has black hair but he shaves it with a knife so there are just bits left. Beside his brown eyes, he has two tattoos which are chinese symbols. One means "life" and the other means "danger". He is pretty tough and slightly muscular. He usually wears black wifebeaters with red fingerless gloves and white cargo pants. He ties them with black rope near the ankle so they don't get annoying and he wears red and white tennis shoes.
(*Personality*) Mike is always acting tough, and like he is better than everyone. I know it is cheesy, but he does have a soft side. It is just buried so far underneath his tough guy appearance that it is very hard to reveal. Usually, what reveals it is if people try hard enough, but that rarely happens.
(*History*) When he was a new runner, he lost his girlfriend to a Police Officer. They pulled Mariah over the edge of the building and Mike couldn't get to her fast enough. He still misses her, but now isn't confident enough to save others, so he stays away from them.
(*Other*) Nothin much !!

I chuckled at his reaction and dodged a few of the males hits. She took the majority of them strongly, then grabbed both of their hands at the same time and flipped them onto their backs in unision. "Alright, I've had my fun. Let's take care of those cuts." I gave a small smile, lifting my right side more than my left and trying to look apoligetic. I reached out my hands, and gently lifted them so they were sitting up before pulling a few tissues from my pocket. They came in handy every once in a while.
I gently pressed one against the male's jaw with one hand and put another in the girl's mouth to soak up the blood. "Sorry about that. Just, don't sneak up behind me. I am kind of the most wanted in this city so the government is out to get me." I said, smiling mischeivously at the fact that I knew they were Runners the entire time.

Iggy ripped the tissue from her grasp, his eyes shooting daggers towards her. He pressed the tissue down firmly on his own, soaking up most of the blood that had dissipated on his face. After most had been sopped up, he looked back to the female who had caused the damage. "I really don't give a crap," he told her, as soon as she spoke. "You don't lay a hurting hand on my sister, understood?" he spoke, with authority in his voice.
Izzi, however, didn't handle the situation as civil. "You do freaking realize that you could have caused some real damage, right?" she screamed at the female, her words muffled by the tissue. She pulled out her pocketknife, plucked out the blade, and cut some of the bandanna tied around a belt loop off. She gave it to Iggy, then cut herself a piece. She place it in her mouth, then, without putting her blade away, lunged at the female.
"IZZI!" Ig screamed, dropping the brightly colored bandanna. It floated down, down, down to the pavement below. He grabbed for his twin, but the pain in his lungs stopped him short and he fell flat on his bottom.

I nodded when Iggy spoke, in complete understanding. When the girl lunged I quickly grabbed the pocketknife out of her grasp with my left hand and grabbed both her wrists with my right. I kicked her legs gently yet powerfully enough to knock them from the ground and force her to fall. Then, I carefully lowered her arms so she would fall softly to the ground. I helped Iggy up, and gave the pocketknife to him.
"Sorry about that guys. Just thought I would have some fun." I said with a half smile. Then, turning my head toward the girl, I continued speaking. "Trust me, I held back a lot. I could of done a lot worse if I wanted to. I can control myself." That was about the most I have spoken to others in quite a while, so I was pleased with myself.
Then, I stood up and looked down at these two, finally deciding that they looked enough alike to be twins. "What are your names?" I asked, extending my arms palms up to help them to their feet.

Mirana didn't look as happy as she had been earlier
when the other Runners started getting into a brawl.
As being a newbie, she chose not to get involved,
but instead simply watch and learn a thing or two.
Did Runners always have a little fight as their way
of telling each other hello? Or was the battle starter
really just messing around? Judging by the convers-
ation she was listening to, Mirana figured it wasn't
an every day deed. When all was said and done, she
made a small comment: "Well wasn't that interes-
ting." That was probably the first thing she'd ever
done to make herself get noticed, or at least for that
day. From there Mirana chose to be quiet and listen
till the time she was referred to in any shape or form.

I turned my head around and gave the other girl a small grin, motioning for her to come join us. "What's your name again?" I asked the girl I met first, realizing I wasn't really on a first name basis with any of these Runners.

The smile from earlier returned to Mirana's incredibly
pale features as she interpreted the Runner's gesture
correctly and jogged over to where she and whoever
the other two were stood. "I'm Mirana," the teenager
introduced herself, not completely satisfied with its
origin. Mirana was the name of the White Queen from
the classic though century old story of Alice in Wond-
erland. Most may have said that was so cool, and if
it were the name of the Red Queen she would have
agreed. But who was going to name their little girl
Iracebeth? Nobody with a right mind would anyway.
"You can refer to me as anything else if you want,
though," Mirana added in quickly, making it sound like
she was saying she'd prefer it if she wasn't called by
her real name. Then she settled in a position that
seemed to anticipate everyone else's identities.

I sat down with all the Runners, surprised at how many were together at once. The Running population was growing so fast. "Alright M.(Pronounced Em)" I said, looking at the others who hadn't yet given their names.

Temp glided through the cracks of a broken city. Well, I guess you would call it jumping. She landed gently on her feet, she wasn't much of a jumper though. She could jump, but probably not as far as the rest. She jumped until she landed on a building and noticed some people in the distance. She guessed that nobody but runners would be on buildings, so she jumped over to where they were. She walked back, then flung herself forward, landing near them. She straightened her position and waved. Although, her waves were more of one flick of the right hand. "What with the gathering?" She asked, swinging her hand to her side.

(Anidori, officer, Beka's twin) I walked out of my office busily, brushing a few strands of my short black hair from my face. I couldn't wait for it to grow longer. I passed by my untouched bulletproof vest and went through the assortment of guns, picking one out carefully. I never wore a bulletproof vest, I didn't need one. When you know how Runners work as well as I do, you need no protection. After searching through millions of machine guns, I sighed and looked away.
Machine guns are too big and carry too much weight. My handy dandy nice and small black handgun would work just fine. I looked around to find someone to come do rounds with me, but nobody was in just yet. However, after a second glance around I did see Vaughn. I knew everyone in the office, not that they knew me personally. But I learned all of their past and searched through their files. It was my job. I walked up to him with a small smile. I wasn't one to speak, but I had to get better.
"Hey Vaughn. Do you mind doing rounds with me over the rooftops? I have a feeling some Runners are out doing no good, but some help never hurts right? Whattya say?" I asked him, taking out my handgun and flipping it around my fingers. Nobody in the office was comfortable with the fact that their Head Officer always went out with no protection and a simple handgun. But honestly, once they saw what I can do, they never asked questions.
(For Nova ^^)
I looked over at the new Runner who had joined our small grouping. "Eh, we kinda just found each other and we're just hangin'." I said, then gave the guy to my right a glance. Whatever his name was, his jaw seemed to be healing from our little shuffle and the girl's mouth seemed to lessen in bleeding.

M. For some reason or another, Mirana took pleasure
in that newly discovered nickname. It was simple yet
unique in its own little way. Or however little those
ways could get considering how brief it really was.
Her head whipped over to see the new girl nearby,
her short brunette (though seemingly black) ponytail
lightly brushing against her cheek. Well, this girl was
new to the little hangout at least; she wasn't sure
how she could have been newer than herself. A small
smile crept onto Mirana's face as the other Runner
approached. Suddenly she noticed she never had
sat down and did so right there and then, like an
invitation for the other girl to sit down with them.
It wouldn't hurt anybody but them all if something
went wrong, wouldn't it?

"Temperance is the name, but you can call me temp." She said, shrugging. Her brown eyes burned over to the boy, wondering what had happened to his jaw. She glanced around, observing the rest. They seemed like runners, but Temp couldn't really be sure. She saw one girl sit down, so she set down herself. Jasper crawled out of the bag, Temp caught the snake and wrapped it around her arm.

(Hey Cyn, ((suggestion)) Maybe Mirana can leave for some reason or another and go free running or something, then find my other Runner Mike? I feel like using him, but I think there are enough people on the building for now 0.o)
I nodded. "Nice to meet ya Temp." I said with a nod before returning my gaze to guy. "You sure you don't want help with that?" I asked, taking hold of another tissue and gently wiping it along his jaw. It was no longer bleeding, but instead a bruise was forming I notice that I dislocated his jaw, and would have to pop it back into place, so I gently put my hand on it. "It's dislocated. Want me to pop it back?" I asked him, giving a reassuring smile as if to say Don't worry, it won't hurt a bit.

Mirana smiled when the girl introduced herself. She
found Temperance a pretty name, and Temp quite
a suitable nickname—in hopes that it didn't refer to
a high temperature temper, that was. Even if it did,
Temperance was still pretty. M nodded to signal she
had been listening, and watched the girl as she sat
down along with the rest of them. The moment a
new movement exposed itself to her eye, her gaze
shot down towards it, and a curious glimmer continued
in those asparagus green irises as a snake slithered
into the area. Being with boys had neutralized the
typical fear girls had in snakes that she once had.
Now, Mirana still couldn't say she was interested in
snakes, but it wasn't like they bothered her at all,
assuming her allergies didn't kick in as they randomly
would every now and then.
Unfortunately, that was one of those moments. Of
course she wouldn't ask for the girl to stow him away
before she blew up, for Mirana considered that rude,
and she wasn't one for that kind of talk. Luckily it
always helped to simply run off the allergies, why she
had no clue. "I'll be right back," M assured the
others, stifling a sneeze as she got up and headed
for a side of the building other than the one she'd
come from. Sometimes people liked to follow trails,
so why try to run into somebody that way, especially
if they weren't safe? Without allowing anyone to ask
questions, Mirana free fell to the nearest windowsill
and jumped off of that once more to another rooftop.
She dashed from that surface and allowed herself to
succumb to the earlier suppressed sneeze before
climbing up a barely taller building.

I curiously watched M leave, then turned back around paying no attention to her sudden disappearance. When I saw the snake, I gave a smile. Boy did I have a thing with snakes. I shook it off and looked back to the guy, waiting to see if he would allow me to relocate his jaw bone.
I ran along the roof, slowly gaining speed until I noticed I was coming too close to the edge. I didn't want to go that close to the city, as my arm was still sore from my struggle with officers yesterday. It was too late for me to stop of make a sudden turn, so I kept going and jumped off the building, hoping there was another below. Luckily, there was, and I quickly curled myself into a ball to roll and lessen the sudden impact.
Rolling wasn't my best idea, and I popped back onto my feet with a low groan. I gently rubbed the yellow bruise on my right arm that seemed to begin turning green along the edges. Boy, that girl Anidori sure could kick. Suddenly, I heard a muffled sound I could safely assume to be a sneeze which made me look up. Nobody was there at first, so I looked around with confusion. Then, the producer of such sounds appear after climbing up the side of the building. Good thing I could tell she was a Runner, because I would of probably beat the poor girl to the ground considering her slightly small size compared to myself.
I'm not one to be polite and say hello if you haven't yet guessed, so I simply stared at her while holding my right bruised arm with my left hand.
In a few short seconds Mirana was on top of the
roof, practically shaking the minuscule pain right out
of the scar on the bottom of her left foot. Every now
and then jumping several stories did that to her, and
it wasn't the greatest feeling in the world. After that
was dealt with, she could feel her nose still itch from
the snake allergies that chose to pop in so imperfectly.
Mirana briefly twitched it, and then realized that some
guy was staring at her. By the looks of him, he was
surely a Runner. It appeared that lots of Runners did
not wear white like everyone else. She hoped that in
time she would get to try on some different colors
than the white she was typically stuck with.
"Erm ..." M mumbled uncertainly. The last time
she checked Runners didn't have their own territories
and ceilings that were private or anything, but was
she wrong? Usually being friendly was the easiest way
to check out a vague situation with a stranger, or
anyone really, so Mirana settled down any anxiety
that had rustled up inside her and gave a timid little
wave, though once she was used to somebody she
was anything but that. "Hi," she tried to greet
simply.

Dark Fairytales wrote: I nodded when Iggy spoke, in complete understanding.
Ig took the knife, popped the blade back inside and slipped it into his pocket. Iggy replied, flicking his bangs from his eyes with a small flick of the head, "I'm Iggy Brunsman," he told her. He rubbed his jaw, and, without a tear jerked, popped it back into place. He stood on his own, brushing her hand away, although he held out his to his sister. "You can call me Iggy, Ig, Bruns, Brunsman..I really don't care."
Izzi looked at the female. Ig had been right, about trusting this female. She let out a long sigh, then, opening her mouth, replied, "I'm Izzi Brunsman." She looked at Iggy. "You can call me Iz or Izzi. It doesn't matter to me," she said, pulling a long strand of hair away from her face. "As you can tell, we're twins," she told her. "What's your name?" she asked. She took Ig's hand, and stood up, looking at the girl.

Hi I heard her say with a timid wave. I could tell she was uncomfortable, but payed it no attention. I made lots of people uncomfortable. In return, I gave a simple nod and a deep "Hello" back. I slightly raised my foot unnoticeably, deciding whether to step forward or not.
I eventually decided not to, and also figured that this silence made be feel rather... akward. "Uhm..." I heard myself say, but couldn't think of anything else. I wasn't one to introduce myself right off the bat to someone I didn't know, so I let the silence continue.
I smiled, happy that they were becoming trustworthy. Ugh, why am I smiling so much? Knock it off, this isn't a part and your not the host I let my smile fade away slowly before speaking. "Beka, Beka Cooper." I said with pride. I awaited them to realize who I was. Some considered me the best Runner out there, and I honestly didn't disagree whatsoever. But I wasn't stuck up, thinking I am the best. I enjoy a good fight and challenge, wanting someone to be better than me. So far, nobody really is. Then, there is the reality side, one that people didn't have opinions about because it was the truth. I am on the CIA, FBI, and even the SWAT team's Most Wanted List. What rank, you ask? Number One. On Every.Single.One. I have a reason to take pride in both myself and my name.

Iggy nodded. "Beka Cooper." Beka Cooper..Beka Cooper...Beka Cooper...Where have I heard that before? Hmmph. His brain processed everything about her; her smile, her hair, the way she talked, what she said, and, most importantly, her name. And, just as it clicked, Izzi spoke.
"Beka Cooper!? You're like, a legend! You're number one on the top ten list of Runners!" Izzi squealed. "OMG! I never, ever thought I would meet someone like you, someone so brave and bold!" She smiled, giving her a large hug. She dropped her arms, stepped back, and beamed like an idiot.

I nodded as she spoke, chuckling at how excited she seemed to be. I was caught completely off-guard by the hug, however, and akwardly patted her back until she let go. A sigh of relief. Then, I noticed how cool Iggy seemed to be about it. Nobody ever acted calm after meeting me. I couldn't help it, and smiled at him. It was a full smile, something I never did, showing all my teeth and everything. Suddenly, I dropped it and red flooded my cheeks for the first time.
I have never been embarrased by something, let alone smile at someone like that before. I quickly turned away. "Now that we got introductions out of the way, how long have you two been Runners?" I asked, crouching down and resting my elbows on my knees.

Iggy returned the smile, beaming at Beka like a love-sruck idiot. Izzi exchanged glances with her twin. Neither of them could remember when they started Running, or, really, what for. They both knew that they're parents had been Runners since before the twins had been born. Izzi was becoming misty-eyed, thinking about their parents, so, comfortingly, he patted her on the back while he talked with Beka.
"We've been Runners, well..practically all our lives," he explained. He leaned in closer to Beka. "She's a little sensitive about the topic." He leaned away, and sighed. "Uhm, our parents were both Runners, since before we were born," he said. "We, kinda, lost them, when the government found out that we were Runners."
Izzi spoke, "They blew up our house." She nodded, blinking away tears. "Me and Iggy got out in time, but our parents did not." She sighed and leaned into her brother.

For one reason or another, the deepness of the guy
took Mirana by surprise. Then again, he seemed like
a big, muscular dude, maybe she should have expected
that. She looked up, noticing that he was hesitant.
Mirana wondered if she should introduce herself, and
loosen up the atmosphere. Yeah, that sounded like
a good idea to at least attempt. "I'm Mirana, ano-
ther Runner—wait, you are another Runner, right?"
That came out much too uncertain as she'd hoped
it to be, but only because M didn't like to be notorious
for her incorrect guesses. Hopefully he would notice
that.

I ignored how idiotic Iggy looked when he stared at me, and looked over to Izzi. When Iggy spoke, I nodded and decided not to bring up the subject again. I would, however, ask Iggy later on if they knew who exactly had blown up the house. If it was Anidori... I shook away the thought. I would of given Izzi a hug, but I thought it cute how she seemed to rely on her brother. I understood now how he was so protective of her.
However, he would have to learn that she can fend for herself sometimes. If he concentrated on protecting Izzi too much, well, as a Runner anything bad can happen to him. I decided I should comfort them in some form or way, but I couldn't sit beside Izzi because there was a fence too near to her. So, I sat beside Iggy and wrapped my arm around his shoulder, patting Izzi's head and holding them close. It was wierd how at that moment, I felt like I was one with them. I felt like I had a family again.
Suddenly, I noticed my eyes getting watery. Before I could help it, a tear rolled down my cheek and I realized. I have no one. No family. No one I can rely on like Iggy, or protect like Izzi. Not anymore. Man, I miss Anidori I thought, wiping the tear away and hoping they hadn't seen it. Izzi probably couldn't, with her head down like that. But Iggy probably could have seen it, I was sitting beside him anyhow.
I almost smiled at her uncertainty. Almost. "Mike. And yeah, I'm a Runner, no worries." I said, then realized that I was probably acting a bit too tough. I loosened up a bit and reached my hand out in a friendly, gentle way, looking for a handshake.

Iggy looked at Beka with slight disdain for making his sister weep. He then opened his eyes wide when he saw a tear roll down Beka's cheek. "Hey, hey," he said, using his other hand to pat her on the back. "What's the matter?" he asked, his voice soothing. Izzi was still quivering next to him, and he continued rubbing both their backs.
Izzi felt alone in the world, even with her brother sitting right next to her, trying to be comforting. She sighed, letting the last of her tears roll down her face, before looking up at her brother. He looked so much like their father, and that heaved more memories upon Izzi's shoulders. She leaned her head back into her brother's side and sobbed.
