Wow, two pieces of poetry in the same day.

So, um, I believe this is my first attempt at writing a piece of poetry while completely ignoring rhyme. I hope I didn't do too terribly. ˜^^ Anyway, please make an attempt to enjoy this.

Star Life ☼—

If I'd been a star,
Emitting immense warmth to the world—
A supernova.
Nobody knew me.
No, only you knew.
And only you would accept my warmth.
I'd have been a supernova,
If I'd been a star.

If you'd been a planet,
People living and depending on you—
I depend on you for company;
You depend on me to survive.
You would be mine,
And I would be yours,
If you'd been a planet:
The world.

But you're not the world,
And you're not mine.
But people still live and depend on you,
And I still depend on you.
You no longer depend on me,
But I am still yours,
Even if you're not the world,
And you're not mine.

If I was a star,
Hanging hollow and lost in the vast sky...
Yes, I'm lost without you,
Because you took my warmth;
My love;
My sense of direction;
And you fled,
And I'll never find you again.
Though I desperately search for you,
Tearing through space and time alike,
Just to get back what I lost.
This is true,
I'm now a black hole,
If I was ever a star.
