The Oliac [Chapter 2 is up!]
Summary: There exists, unknown to humans, millions and millions of universes more commonly known as, Realms. Daniel enters Eva's Realm, only to find himself in the midst of the greatest war since time began in any of the Realms!
The story follows their adventures, each chapter from a different point of view. The person, whose POV it is, is mentioned at the beginning of the Chapter. Please read, and enjoy! ^^
I remembered the last time I drew an ‘Oliac’, like it was yesterday, when I had just become a full fledged Wizard. After ten tiring years as an apprentice Wizard. Usually we became Wizards at the age of fifteen, but I was just thirteen when I was ready to become a Wizard. Wizards never stay in their Realm, as soon as they think they’re ready they move to a different Realm, and until they find a Realm that they’re satisfied with they just keep on moving. I immediately decided I was ready to travel Realms, maybe my head was swollen, because I was one of the youngest Wizards in the history of my Realm. I wanted to go to the Realm of Fatonies, but I was too inexperienced, and I made mistakes. Huge ones. And I ended up here. After four whole years, I was ready to travel Realms again.
I was certainly not satisfied with this Realm. The people were ignorant and foolish. They thought they were developed because they traveled to their own moon. They weren’t even aware of the existence of Realms. They didn’t know much about their own Realm. Heck, they didn’t know much about their own planet. They had no idea that their ‘Bermuda Triangle’ was an entry, into different Realms, I would have used it but my limbs would have been torn apart. I couldn’t live among such people, for ‘a million dollars’.
It was hard to collect all the ingredients for the ritual to travel to another Realm. After four years of traveling from country to country, continent to continent, planet to planet. I managed to collect all the ingredients. I doubted it would be half as hard to collect all the ingredients in any other Realm then it was here.
I had to give it to these humans for one thing, they knew, in their subconscious about the existence of Realms, and people there. That’s where the idea of Wizards, Vampires, Werewolves, Unicorns even Medusa came from.
I wiped the sweat of my forehead, and decided to take a quick ‘shower’ and then leave. But first I’d complete the Oliac. The next step was simple, I picked up a huge bowl and dropped all the ingredients I had collected over the years in it. Substances humans were unaware existed on their planet, and universe.
I picked up a grinder and started mashing them and smiling I sang:
Oliac, Oliac wranten da,
Molan kirta lar oto,
Farseen queedo tanta
Naseen maka sanato.
And then I sprinkled the greenish-blue powder on the Oliac.
* * *
I wrapped my black cloak around me and taking a deep breath in I walked into the circle. The candles had been burning for more than half and hour now, and were standing in a pool of hardened wax. Perfect. I glanced at the circle of blood, it was dry at places, but mostly wet, and the circle made of chalk hadn’t rubbed off. The inscriptions inside the circle were intact as well. Taking a deep breath in, I muttered, “Allensa!” sharply.
I felt a sinking feeling, as if I was falling down with the Oliac under me. And then sudden pull, as we started accelerating horizontally. I felt a sharp pain in my chest, and a sharp pain in my navel. My legs grew so weak, I had to crouch down and hold on to the floor board with my hands.
And then, suddenly, everything went black.
I bent down to feel his pulse, it was very fast. He was in no real danger, but had certainly gone through some exhausting activity a while back. I couldn’t just leave him here. He was Gaia’s child after all. I picked him up, he was really heavy, but I managed.
I walked slowly through the forest in the silence, which was broken by an occasional song of a bird and croak of a frog. I finally reached a huge tree, and placed him on the ground in front of me. I reached to my neck and closing my fist around a blue, crescent shaped pendant, and muttered, ‘Sciogilere’
Suddenly, the ground started sinking down, and took the boy and me with it. Soon we were completely enveloped by the darkness, and only after a minute or so did the journey come to an end, we weren’t moving anymore.
"Tornare luminosa," I muttered, my soft voice punctuated the still air, the words chasing away the darkness and replacing it with a dim, yet warm yellow light.
I picked the boy up again, and laid him down on one the two beds at the corner of the room. I stared down at his clothes, raising my eyebrows. He certainly wasn’t from around here.
I went to the other side of the room, roots were sticking out of the mud walls and floor, I was always glad for them. It was a Sienna tree, it had unbelievable medicinal properties. Cutting of a small portion of the root with my dagger, I picked up a glass from the floor beside it and dropped them in it. I poured a little water in, from a drum next to me.
I hurried back to him, when I saw him shifting uneasily on the bed, at least I could rule out the possibility that he had a concussion. I peered down at him, anxious, yet cautious…after a few moments he lay still again.
I slowly pushed his head up with my hand, and poured a few drops of the drink down his throat slowly. The drink had an immediate affect. He groaned loudly, and moved his hands up to his eyes slowly and rubbed them. Suddenly, they flashed open and he was staring at me, in another instant he was jumped up and pinned me against the ground. The nerve. I growled and pushed him back on to the bed drawing out my bow and arrow again.
“Stay,” I scowled, “I’m not going to hurt you. Just calm down.”
“How,” he asked, his voice was cracked and his eyes were dazed , “Am I supposed to calm down, with you sticking that thing into my face.”
Wise boy eh? “How am I supposed to know, that your not going to attack me again?”
“What do you expect? Where the heck am I-
“I found you on the ground in the forest, unconscious. I brought you here, don’t make me regret it, if you do, I won’t hesitate to take you back up there and leave you to die.” I scowled.
I lowered the bow and had a good look at him. He was pretty tall, and had brown, messy hair which pointed in all directions. His eyes were brown as well, but a darker shade. “Who are you?” I asked.
“My name is Daniel Matthews, I come from the Realm of Wizards.” He was from another Realm? Wow. I hid my amazement quickly, before he noticed. “Who are you?,” he asked, now looking around the room curiously.
“I am Eva Santana.”
“Well Eva, I guess I owe you, for saving my life.” he said, he said adopting a more apologetic and grateful note.
“No, it is my duty as a daughter of Gaia, to help one of her children.”
“Which Realm is this?” he asked, raising an eyebrow.
“This is the Realm of Life.”
“Woah!” he yelled.
“What?” I asked puzzled. He was very strange, I had met people from other Realms before, but none of them were as weird and awkward as him.
My face must have clearly shown what I was thinking because he immediately said, “I’m sorry. Its just that, I have traveled here from the Realm of Humans,” nodding enthusiastically as if that was an excuse for any type of madness.
But I guess it is. The Realm of Humans was one of the most different in the whole of Kosmosen, which is all the Realms together. Different, wasn’t the right word. It was like a mixture of all the worlds. Like, a few people in the Realm of Humans, were said to believe in Gaia as well. But they had some unique characteristics and ways of talking…evidently. I smiled at him, sympathetically. This must have been the response he wanted, because he grinned sheepishly back at me.
I got up from my bed and walked towards his where he still lay down, and handed him the drink, “Drink. It’ll help you.”
“Huh?,” he asked puzzled.
“You must be feeling dizzy, right? And I bet dazed too, if you’ve been traveling Realms. Drink it, it’ll help.”
“I don’t know…” he muttered hesitating.
“If I wanted to poison you, to kill you, I’d just have left you out there.”
“Sorry…” he muttered and took the glass from me and gulped down the whole glass, his eyes tightly closed.
“Wow. Thanks.”
“In the Realm of Life,” I explained again slowly, “We believe we are all children of Gaia, and to help ones brother, is merely a duty.”
“I know, I’ve read about the Realm of Life.”
“Have you?,” I asked raising an eyebrow. “I think no book can explain the ways of life here, or anywhere. Which you will soon find out. On that note, why are you here?”
“I’m a Wizard, we travel Realms until we find a suitable one, to settle down in.”
“Oh,” I said, sinking it all in. Strange, but interesting.
“I’m gonna stay here for a while.” he continued, “Is there any place around here, like a hotel or something?”
Hotel? I started laughing. “No, there isn’t any hotel here, Daniel Matthews, you may stay with me, if you wish.”
“You…won’t feel awkward or anything?”
“Huh? Why would I?”
“Nothing, leave it. Where are we?”
Suddenly we heard a huge noise above us, which shook the whole room, “Oh crap, I got to go. You, don’t move from here. In case feel a sudden urge to escape, let me warn you, there’s a troll up there.” I said and quickly drawing my bow and arrow out,
I stood on the same patch of ground that I had entered on, and muttered “Chiudi,” the ground rose up, I looked down at the boy again, he seemed pretty dim. “STAY PUT!” I shouted before disappearing into the darkness.

The Oliac
Chapter 1
Daniel
Excitement pulsed through my body. After four whole years, stuck here, in the Realm of Humans, I would return home. My hand trembled as I drew a circle on the floorboards of my room, and drew the ‘Tiana’, which would protect me from any outside disturbances during the journey . I tried lighting a matchstick, my hand trembling so much, I succeeded only in the third attempt Quickly lighting three candles, I placed them equal distances from each other on the circle and drew three lines with chalk connecting them, I sighed, and picked up a knife from behind me, and closing my eyes tightly cut myself on the shoulder. The pain was stinging but I still got up and collecting my the blood with my finger, I dew another circle inside the one I made of chalk. I tied a piece of cloth tightly around my arm after I finished. Then I sat on my bed admiring my work.I remembered the last time I drew an ‘Oliac’, like it was yesterday, when I had just become a full fledged Wizard. Chapter 2
Eva
I heard a huge ‘thud’ below me, I peered down the dense canopy of branches and saw a limp body, face down, dressed from head to toe in black. He seemed unconscious. I climbed down the tree quickly and drew my bow, at the ready in case of a surprise attack. I turned the body over with my foot, and stared into the face of a young boy.
