Welcome to the August 8-15 WCT!

This week is:

National Assistance Dog Week:

Service Dogs such as guide dogs, Seeing Eye dogs, and Search and Rescue dogs do so much for our country. They help search for people in disasters like bombings and the 9-11 attack. Guide dogs and Seeing Eye dogs can help bring people with disability happiness and help them do things they can’t do without help. Dogs are loving companions.
(I did a project a few years ago on this topic. Ha, ha).

Did you know that dogs can predict seizures?

National Elvis Week:

I don't play trumpet but I used to play flute It's awesome that you guys play trumpet!

Flute is a nice instrument.

One of my friends had an electric blue clarinet; it was really cool.

Wow, that's awesome. I stopped playing the flute for two reasons. One, because it made me dizzy, and two, because my piano teacher was my flute teacher's husband and he was boring and I had to quit both or none

I can understand about the dizzy part. Yesterday I was playing trumpet for awhile and after, my lips were screaming. xD

I had to do breathing exercises before I played the flute, but they made me dizzy too xD

xD Do you mean as a warm up or when you first started?

Well as a warm up, but I had to do the exercises the most at the beginning. I only played for a year or two, though.

I have to do boring lip slurs to warm up for trumpet. xP

What now, about flute and trumpet?

I can play my alto sax right away. No warmups needed. It's just me, the air, and saxophone (And music, of course).

I can usually do that, but it's harder with braces because the mouthpiece is small and the braces make my mouth bigger. It's a bit difficult.
