Heyy guys! This is my story from WI. Although Book 1 is finished, I'm re-writing and re-touching it. So, it has 5 stars on WI, and, since I wrote it off the top of my head, I think it's pretty good. So here goes nothing.

:|: Characters :|:

:|: Amie Stewart- Sweet, shy, smart, very funny, not a nerd, just excels at things more than other students, very athletic. Over achiever. Main character- from her POV. She has wavy, medium-length brown hair and chocolate brown eyes. :|:
:|: Liana James- Amie's BFF, outgoing, funny, average brains, athletic in some things. Long black hair with sparkling green eyes. :|:
:|: Drake Daniels- Ame's crush. Going out with Liana. Smart, athletic, outgoing, medium achiever. Dark brown wavy hair. Short hair, but nowhere near close to bald. (xP) Dark brown eyes and tan skin. Has braces but makes them look good. (xD) :|:
:|: Jared King- Someone who becomes greatly involved in Amie's life. Long, light brown hair and dark green eyes. Smart, athletic, and tall. Fair skin and always kind. :|:

:|: PROLOGUE :|:

Who would think of death when you're a high schooler? I mean, seriously. It wasn't a hot topic. Deathy deathical death. Oh come on. Well, I had opened my mouth for once and now I'm looking death straight in the face. What do I do?
"Oh hello Death. I wasn't expecting you yet. How are you on this gloomy day? Anyways, can we make this quick? And as painless as possible? I've been through a lot today. I mean, my best friend's a jerk, and so...."
"Oh fine Amie. Thanks for asking. I'll see what I can do."
And the worst part? Knowing I had done it for him. Him. His beautiful face filled my mind. His hair shone and he smiled at me with such softness, I thought I could do anything. His eyes twinkled with care, as if he was there with me. That's when my adrenaline kicked in. It was time for the fight or flight.
Well, I don't have any wings or means of escape... So bring on the fight. I clenched my fists together as my heart counted the last few beats. It pounded against my chest, threatening to break out from behind my ribs.
"Just a little longer." I whispered, tears falling down my face. I took a shaky breath, the sound echoing around me. I took slow steps forward, dreading the final outcome of the fight. Maybe all the countless laps of running at school would help. Well, whatever happens happens. As I walked towards death, a lot of things flashed through my mind. Like, you know, when you get T-Boned by a car and you're on the passenger side, and time seems to stop? Or slow down? Then images of your life flash through your head and you realize how boring your life was? Well, that's what happened. I realized I wasn't the girl who I was with my friends. I was the girl who was quiet during school. I was the girl who actually listened to her teachers. I was the girl who was falling apart, yet no one knew it. I was the actor. The one who could fool everyone into thinking I'm fine, when I'm actually not. I was the girl who has gotten all A's on her report card since 1st grade. I didn't want to be that girl. I wanted to be the girl who my friends loved. The funny girl. The hilarious girl. The girl who could eat chips from a bowl with no hands. The girl who made her friends [and herself] laugh more than they breathed. That was me. That was the girl I wanted to be. Then he flashed before me again. Him. The boy who had done this to me. The wonderful, amazing boy. The boy who was with her. Her. The jerk. The one whom I despised. Well, not really. I could never hate her. She was my best friend. Was. Then she had done that and I couldn't be her friend anymore. She knew. She always knew, or at least suspected. I stopped dead in my tracks. Maybe I could just turn around and go back. Maybe I could hit rewind. But no. You can't stop the future. You can't rewind the past. The only thing possible is to press play. I was still standing, then I took of again, fists curled into balls. I wasn't going down without a fight. Without a battle.
This.
Was.
War.

Chapter 1: ||The new BF||
BEEP BEEP BEEP! screeched the alarm clock. I hit it and groaned loudly. I kept my eyes closed, just trying to get in a few more seconds of peace. Psh. As if. With a thud, I threw my legs over the side of my bed, making the various sheets fall off. A lime green crumpled mess lay on the floor. I sighed and heaved them onto my large bed, rubbing my eyes after they were on the bed in a satisfying clump. I shuffled over to the bathroom, which happened to be next door to my room. SMACK. Oops. There was a wall there.
After doing this routine many times, I closed my eyes to shield myself from the blinding light. I stumbled over to the shower and turned on the middle faucet, then the left, and finally the right. First it was too cold. Then too hot. Then almost cold, but still hot. After much twisting and turning, it was finally warm. Then I slid in, shaking as the warm water sent goosebumps up and down my body. The steam rose and I finally opened my eyes all the way. Ah, the shower felt so good. All my stress seemed to rise along with the steam, hitting the ceiling and finding a way out.
The shower was quick. I wrapped a purple-ish towel around my hair, trying to get it to dry. Since I was in the bathroom, I started to apply my make-up. My black eyeliner made my brown eyes stand out. I didn't bother with mascara, it would usually get clumped anyways. The eye-shadow was the easiest. I grabbed a natural brown earthy color. I didn't bother with the brush. A finger worked just as well. Or, I guess. Since I didn't put eyeliner on the top half of my lid, my finger slid along it, making a perfectly even smear of brown. I closed that eye, and examined it. Alright, it passed the test. I did the same to the other eye, but had to add a few touch ups, due to me jerking around when my hair straightener fell off the cabinet.
What a boring routine, I though as I scarfed down a pancake with extra syrup. I sat there chewing for a moment and put on my jeans and green Aeropostale polo shirt. I smoothed out my shirt, checking for wrinkles, and slipped my denim skinny jeans on. Skinny jeans were my life. I was always wearing them, usually neon colors. The dress code never said we couldn't have neon colored skinny jeans. I absentmindedly picked up my phone which happened to be sitting on my desk. As if I had a magic touch, it vibrated. A flashing picture of a girl with pin straight black hair and shocking green eyes that stood out against her skin popped up. It started flashing and I rolled my eyes/
: Liana Calling: Liana Calling:
I picked up the phone, smiling.
"Hello?" I asked. The only answer I got was a squeal. I started to laugh. Another prank call from Liana. "Li, I know it's you. I have caller ID. Plus, I'm about to go to school and I don't have time for your silly prank calls, and-"
"I GOT A BOYFRIEND!" screamed the girl at the other end of the phone, interrupting my long rant. "ME! I GOT ONE!"
"You mean, your..." I paused to think, "seventh one? Wow, congrats. Who knew there would be a lucky number seven.... Wait, I did," I said, rolling my eyes, the smile still growing on my face.
"Shut up Amie. And yes, number seven. But he's so amazing! And dreamy..." She cut-off as she let out a sigh.
"That's great." I sighed. "Now, who is it? I mean, no guy at our school is dreamy and/or amazing," I giggled.
"Drake." As soon as the word left her mouth, I dropped my phone. The back fell off and the battery popped out. Drake?! I scrambled to pick it up, tears swimming in my eyes. Whether it had been because I had rammed him head into the desk in desperation to fix my phone, I didn't know.
