Maybe it was actually at the end of book twelve, which I skimmed through at the store once. XD That would explain so much.

- Wow. All I have to say is.....wow.
So I am a little teary eyed right now. I still remember when I watched the first epsiode. I swear, the only thing running through my mind then was, "This epsiode, that's it. Nothing more, ever." But 5 minutes in, I knew I'd be hooked till the end and now.....the end has come. That's it. Nothing more, ever. And this time.....it's true.
Anyway, I started laughing when Light snapped cuz, well, I knew it would happen eventually and I had been waiting for it. All was revealed; he lost.
Then I stopped....cuz....I knew the moment I had been waiting for wasn't as spectacular as I'd hoped. Because there's nothing left now.
I applauded at the end. It felt appropriate. Seriously, it did.
I'd just like to quote Near for a second, since he took all I had been thinking about Light since episode 1 and said it: "In the end, allyou are is a crazy serial killer. That's all you are. Nothing more; nothing less." (*quote may not be exact*)
Now for some less meaningful crap.
What the *heck* happened to Mikami??? (or however you spell it) He just like started spewing blood or some crap and I was so confused!! It was so random!!
Did Misa kill herself? It looked like she was about to. Or at least thinking about it.
Was I going crazy or did they have like the spirit of L appear as Light died?
Ok, that's all. I'm definately rewatching everything. I can't just let it end.....

Saddle, I know how you feel. And it's worse for me, because Light's one of my favorite character. ._. I cried over him, and it was just . . . oww . . . I've watched that episode three or four times. And it hurts. No more Death Note is too much to bear . . . I just wish Near would've lost, so the show could go on. D: I so resent Near for that.
Mikami stabbed himself with a fountain pen, actually. XD And it was way bloodier than it should've been.
Misa did not officially kill herself, though it's rumored that she actually jumped off the building. You just don't see it. Ari wrote an amazing fanfiction where Matsuda saved her, though. :3 MatsudaxMisa forever . . .
And yes, they did have L's spirit. :') Finally, finally . . . his triumph.
But poor Light. D:

And no, Misa didn't kill herself. According to the authors, she died on Valentine's Day of the next year, but that doesn't make sense, since when a Shinigami dies to save you their remaining lifespan goes into you so she had both Gelus and Rem's lifespans.

- @Shadow: I was kinda glad Light died. Mostly because I still dislike him for getting L killed. L's amazing.....but I'm still sad it's over.
Near is still one of my favorite characters -- *hugs Near V* -- and I don't hate him for pretty much ending the series, though.

@Ratty: I agree, that doesn't make much sense, but her lifespan was halved twice for the eyes so she didn't have that long. Still, it shouldn't have been that quick.
