I took a sip of my coke with a "thanks." and gave him a fork so he could eat some too. I took a fry dipped in chili and ate it.

Evetually I pulled away. "I love..." I began to say, but scared myself. "Chicken." The word exploded out of my mouth, not knowing what else to say. I was going to say "You." but was afraid of his reaction.

"Really?" I said, smiling lightly. I pressed my scaly forehead against her clear one. "Because, I love..chicken, too." I totally freaked. I would have told her that I loved her, but, no. I had to be a chicken. "We could go to a KFC instead," I added.

I shook my head with a cough. "Um, we can... go to McDonald's... or something I guess." I said, moving from his lap back to my seat. I buried my head in my hands with a sigh. I had totally freaked myself out and now I was scared because I was wondering if I did love him and how he felt about me.

I shrugged. "Oh well." I said, gulping down the rest by myself.

I looked over at Akila, shaking my head. "Akila.." I said, letting out a long sigh. "I don't love chicken; I mean, don't get me wrong, it's yummy, but..Sorry, I'm rambling." I smiled lightly. "What I meant to say was..I love.." I waited for her to finish the sentence on her own.

I watched him as I tossed my trash away as well and followed him into the rink.

I gulped, looking over at him. "Me?" I asked, biting my lip and hoping he wasn't just trying to mess with me. I might as well say it now, even if I sounded stupid. "Because I love you too, a lot." I whispered.

I followed him closely behind and found I was getting better. I didn't fall once.

I nodded. "Good. Cuz, yeah, it's you." I lowered my voice to a small-ish whisper. "A lot."

I smiled and leaned over to kiss him again, deeply. "Good because I was afraid you wouldn't love me back." I said with a small grin.

I nodded and took his hand as we skated. "Yeah, I guess I am." I said with a grin.

"How could I not?" I replied, smiling. I stared into her big blue eyes, my hands tangled in her hair. He hopped back over to her seat, and began to kiss her.

I smiled and kissed him back, my hands traveling his scaly yet smooth back. As night began to fall, I pulled away with a frown. "We better head back." I said reluctantly.

I nodded. I got back in my seat, started the car, and drove off down the road. I stopped at a McDonald's. The drive-thru was packed, so I parked in the lot, and helped Akila out of the Mustang. I put the top up, then walked inside. Instantly, people pointed, but I was used to it.

I walked inside with him, and as people stared I gave them evil glares. We walked up to the counter and I began listing what I wanted. "A Big Mac and a coke for me." I said, and looked to Evra, waiting for him to order.

"Double that," I replied to the cashier. The guy behind the counter rambled out a price, and I paid. He then continued to stare at Akila. I had to give him props; he was working at McDonald's, but he was really good looking.

"What is a pretty girl like you hanging out with a freak like that, hun?" he asked, leaning over the counter. I got a good look at his name tag. Adolfo Ferraro. Another Italian guy?

I smiled at him, pretending to flirt. I leaned over to him. "He's not the only freak around here, and I suggest you stop flirting with me in front of my boyfriend or I'll turn into a black widow. Got it?" I said, frowning.

Adolfo backed off, hands raised. He looked at me, death in his gaze, before giving Akila our cups. I took them. "Coke, right?" I asked, before heading to the machine.

I nodded and followed, filling my cup with coke. "Stupid guys." I muttered, putting a cap on the cup.

I nodded. I was kind of, not really, surprised that Akila hadn't taken his bait; he was rather good looking. I filled my cup with ice and coke, then capped it. I gave her a straw, and poked one in mine. I went back to the counter to get our sandwiches.

I started drinking through the straw as we went to get the sandwiches and saw the guy come up again. "Oh great." I muttered.

I picked up the sandwiches, and went to get us a table, but the guy had already began to talk with Akila.

"I get off here in a couple minutes," Adolfo said seductively, leaning over the counter.

"And I'm going home in a couple of minutes." I replied, coldly.
