It's . . . *epic music plays* *insertwordhere*y.
((Ha! ))
Okay, um, hmm. xD I have it finished now, but I'm not 100% satisfied with it, so it'll probably be changed in the future. But I'm going to go get it and post.

Re: Misplaced *finished* [a novelette of my life]
Jamie padded slowly towards home with drooping ears and tail, the letter to him held in his mouth. As he passed a music store - CDs and guitars and stuff that normally would have captivated him, if it weren't for the current situation - he suddenly stopped. Unexpectedly, there was a slow song playing inside, one he’d never heard before. Soft guitar notes were playing, making a sad melody. Pressing his nose against the glass, he tried to listen.
“Pick up all your tears,” an angelic male voice sang. “throw ‘em in your back seat. . . . Leave without a second glance.” Jamie's ears folded back. “Somehow I’m to blame, for this never ending race track you call life. . . .” The singer changed. “So turn right . . . into my arms. Turn right, you won’t be alone. You might . . . fall off the tracks some time . . . hope to see you on the finish line.”
He continued padding on, shaking his head . . . but he felt like crying. He’d ruined Steph’s life . . . now they were the same. With ruined lives. Unable to bear it anymore, he started running again, not knowing or caring where he was heading. Eventually he turned down an alley, and had to stop at a dead end.
“I’m done!” he yelped up at the top, talking to nobody. “Why did you do this to me?! I don’t want to live anymore.” Sitting back onto his haunches, he reached a paw up, and traced it across the wall, then leaned his head against it. His eyes closed with a soft whimper. I’m done.
Quiet footsteps approached, and he slowly opened his eyes. An old lady was stooped over him, her face too ugly to read. She held a little bottle of powder in one of her hands, and in the other was a walking cane.
“I know what happened to you,” she said, in a rough, wavery voice. She shook the bottle a little. “You weren’t just sick. You were poisoned. That’s why you’re like this - because this was put in your food. Your own body was misplaced, into the realm of spirits, while you get this wolf’s body.” She slammed the bottle to the ground; it broke and the powder scattered everywhere. The woman spat at it. “Go home, child. You will be normal in the morning - if you drink this.” She held out another bottle, a bottle of bright green liquid.
Jamie stared warily at it.
“And it’s not KoolAid,” the woman warned him. She opened the little vial, and offered it to him.
What did he have to lose? He cautiously took it in his teeth, dropping the letter, and drank it down. The woman smiled. “Now go home. Enjoy the rest of your life,” she said. Then a gust of wind came through the alley . . . and her form blew away, like dust.
Jamie carefully took the letter back in his mouth, and raced home. He got back, and got himself into the porch in the back. Using the little wall around it, he climbed up onto the roof, and curled up there - out of view, unless someone went to the very end of the backyard, and looked up. He carefully put the letter down, and laid his head on top of it, closing his eyes. Soon, he was asleep.
* * *
The next day, I woke up to a sharp, hurried knocking on the door. I yawned, stretching stiffly - I’d fallen asleep on the couch in the livingroom, where the door that was being knocked on was, my jeans and t-shirt from yesterday still on. My right wrist moved my watch to my face, and I pressed a button to light it up - and my jaw dropped. Three in the morning? What the heck?
I peeked out the window behind the couch - there was one facing out, and two smaller ones to the side, so one was facing the window. And my jaw dropped to see who was standing there. I flew the few feet to the door, and with trembling fingers, unlocked it and threw it open. Then I stood with wide eyes, my heart already going crazy, staring at Jamie.
“I’m sorry.”
“Where were you?” I asked, in a voice that would have been a shriek if I wasn’t whispering. Tears started coming from my eyes, and I bit my lip to try holding them back.
He let out a sigh. “You might not believe me . . .”
“Try me.”
He was quiet for a moment, then uttered something that made my jaw drop - “I was the wolf.”
“Wh . . . how?”
Jamie shrugged. “I wish I knew. Someone poisoned me is the most I can say.”
Suddenly my eyes narrowed. “Prove it.”
He took a piece of paper out of his pocket, wrinkled in places - as if it’d gotten wet. And it was torn a bit. Barely still in one piece. “I was there when you wrote this . . . and . . .” He shook his head. “You don’t know how much that hurt.”
I took it from him, astonished, and stared at the letter I’d written yesterday, just before the wolf - him - ran off. “It . . . was you . . .” Tears started filling my eyes again. He’d been right under my nose this whole time, and I didn’t even know it.
Jamie’s hand came and tilted my chin up until I was looking at him. “I’m sorry,” he said quietly.
The tears started falling as I shook my head, glancing back down at the paper. “So’m I. I was just really selfish . . . but I missed you . . .”
He took me into his arms. “I know. I missed you too - when I couldn’t see you. And all I wanted to do was tell you, but I couldn’t do that. I couldn’t even hear your voice.”
I continued sobbing quietly, as my arms made their way around him as well. “I’m glad you’re back,” I whispered.
He laughed. “I am, too.”
I looked up to find him smiling. And then we kissed - the first kiss of my life, and it was the best ever. He still held me against him, and I loved every moment - even though I blushed when I thought of how my parents would react if they were to catch me here like this.
When we stopped, I laid my cheek against him, and smiled to myself. This was the way things should be. Everything was falling into place, and my misplaced heart had finally found its way home.
The End
((Ya, I'm still not totally satisfied with the ending. xD But there it is!))

Awesome.
Thanks Saddle! ^^ Do you think it needed anything else?
(And now that I think about it, I'll need to write a sequel (or two, or three, or four . . . ), cus there's kinda that subplot going on with Audrey that definitely needs to be resolved. xD)

Great job! (Now it's your turn to finish yours, Saddle. xD JK.)
You have to write a sequel (and a 3, 4, 5, etc. xD).

WHOO! GO MO!
In RL, though, Audrey and I actually get along. xD She doesn't hate me like my friend thought, and I don't hate her like people who know thought.
Lol, yes. xD What should happen in the next one, though? Lesse . . . I have like one involving a tornado . . . and then this idea you guys may never see involving marrying him. (It's only PG though, I swear xD. It's just embarrassing.) xP

Re: Misplaced *finished* [a novelette of my life]
Oh, that's good then. It's no fun having enemies.
Ooh, why don't you make the tornado one the sequel?
Lol, I get what you mean by the marriage one being embarrassing. XP It would be cool if it was the closing story for the series, though!

I had this idea for my own misplaced-ish thing, but Shad' refuses to make a sequel with someone as retarded as me, I guess.

Re: Misplaced *finished* [a novelette of my life]
XD Lol, I like everyone, and everyone likes me.
Okay. Man, I really wanna kill the plot by babbling on about it now. But I won't.
xD Haha, yah. It's just like SUPER embarrassing. Like picture Breaking Dawn, but with me and Jamie, and PG. (Again - I swear, it's PG. xD Like, "For violence and some scary images.")

Re: Misplaced *finished* [a novelette of my life]
Yeah, I'm kinda neutral. No one hates me but no one wants to talk to me either. XP Except for this one obnoxious ex-friend of mine that I don't ever reply to because all he does is diss me because I'd rather watch SKC videos and talk to my online friends than speak to him.
Haha, well I'm sure it's good. I think you told me a bit about it the other day, actually. But not in detail.
Oh. XP Like does it have the same maturity level as Breaking Dawn? Because that's pretty PG compared to some stuff I've stumbled upon.... *shudders*

Re: Misplaced *finished* [a novelette of my life]
Naw, cus it doesn't have any of that adult context at all. A little kid could read it, if they even knew what being pregnant was. xD (Like when I was six, I just thought that God randomly poofed a tiny baby inside a lady, and bam, she's pregnant.)
Re: Misplaced *finished* [a novelette of my life]
Oh, I see. That's good, then!
You know, now that I think about it, I think I've always known what being pregnant meant. Thanks to the perverted friend that I've had since grade 1. He ruined my childhood. XP Jk, he's pretty cool. Sometimes.

Nevermind, that's not a happy subject.

And not only that, but finding out that he'd been engaged to several girls, and never told me.
