Don't Judge a Book by its Cover [An *unfinished* Inkheart Fanfiction]
Alright, reason why I wanted to write this is because I decided to read the Inkheart series again, and I got an idea. I may, or I may not continue this story, it depends on how popular it gets. The characters that you will see in this story [like, the ones that are read out of the books] do not belong to me. They belong to the people who wrote the books, et cetera. Just wanted to clear that up. I haven't written in a while, so forgive me if it's a little/very suckish... and this computer doesn't have grammar/spell check, so just warning you guys. Once I get back on my own computer, if I see any spelling errors, I'll try to fix them as fast as I can. If you read this, I'd very much enjoy some feedback, thanks!
Maturity: Slight cursing, [like crud, suck, crap, et cetera] not so sure about the romance thing, though.
Fantasy: Reading people out of books, powers, magic

Preface:
I can't really tell when all of this weird crap started happening to me, in fact, I barely even noticed. And when something would happen, I would laugh it off with my friends, joking around, saying that I was a 'Silvertongue', like Mo and Meggie from the Inkheart trilogy. I always thought it would be fun to be one, but I never knew the trouble it would cause me.
I guess you could say that it all started in the sixth grade, sometime around the middle of the year-- I remember, because it was the weekend of Mid-Terms. I was sitting with my best friend, Lorin, [yes, with an 'O' and an 'I' instead of 'AU' and an 'E'] joking around, and tossing pieces of bread at the tiny sparrows that hopped around the courtyard.
We were sitting alone, I remember, just the two of us. Why? Because we were in a fight with our 'former' friends. Well, it wasn't even a fight, actually. They just got mad at us for some reason and ignored us during chapel at school, so we decided not to sit with them that day. If they came and asked why, then we would state simply that they were being rude, and that we didn't want to deal with that while we were trying to have a good time.
But let's not get into that, that's not what this story is about, anyways.
Lorin asked me, "Cassandra, what book are you reading this week?" Her voice was light and joking. She always said that I read one book a week.
I chuckled, and pulled the book Inkheart out of my backpack, pointing to the name. "This is what I'm reading." I replied, handing the book to her.
"What's it about?" Lorin asked, curiosity in her brown eyes.
"About people being able to read characters out of books and other stuff." I replied.
"You'd be one, for sure." Lorin chuckled, flipping through the pages. She stopped at the chapter that I was on, "Here, read the page that you were on-- see if someone pops out of the book." She grinned, her voice joking as she handed the book to me.
I don't remember the exact page, or the exact words, but I know it was at the part where it was describing Capricorn's men as ravens. And as the word came out, the tiny sparrows disappeared, as ravens began to gather around on the roof of the school.
