If Alice's heart would still be beating, it probably would have sank. She bit her lip, swallowing. For Alice, it was hard for her to have children-- she was pregnant twice before she had Hailey, and both of the babies died, before they were even born. "Do you... think it's gonna die?" Alice traced her thumb over the palm of his hand, shaking just a bit. She was afraid, and she didn't know the true reason why. She rested her head back on his shoulder, hiding her face in the crook of his neck, "I love you," She told him.

John held her tight in his arms with a sort of crooked smile, "I love you too," he whispered, stroking her hair as she sat there beside him. Whatever happened though, he'd be right there with her the whole time.

Peter closed his eyes as his lips met hers. His arms, which were stil around her, tightened the slightest bit. Not so much that it hurt, but enough to pull her closer.

Alice took in a shaky breath, her eyes fluttering closed. Even now, the faint little heartbeat could be heard, by acute vampire ears. For once, she felt safe and warm, a feeling which rarely came upon her. She then asked quietly, out of curiosity, "How's everyone?"
