Leach nodded, "Yeah, she's perfectly alright, I assure you." He replied with a nod, "That's why people called me Leach." He said, placing a black beanie hat over his head, "Back in the day."

"Okay." I muttered, still a little stressed. She seemed fine... but something about her expression scared me. What was she dreaming about?
"Give me the girl." He whispered. "Never." Jasper snarled, his eyes like fire. "Give me the girl, Jasper." The entire group against William was behind him. "Give her to me. I'll protect her. We'll protect her." He smiled evilly. "Never." But he smiled back. "Jasper Whitlock, you will hand her over." He smiled wider. And Jasper gave me to him, a smile on his face. "Good bye Amanda." He grinned. "Have fun."

Gwen stared at Amanda for a few moments, looking at if she were staring right through her skull and into her mind. "She's having a nightmare." She finally replied, the look from her eyes gone. "I'd wake her up, it's a pretty frightening one if you ask me." She advised. if you listened very closely, she had a faint country accent to her voice. But sometimes she hid it, so people wouldn't ask her where she was from.

Aro was in there, waiting. "Ah, Alec! Jane! So you've brought Amanda. How wonderful - and who's this?" As he spoke, his tone and expression filled with delight, he walked over to the group. This female vampire . . . he didn't recognize her.
"This is 'Stephanie.' She snuck underground after us," Jane spat. "She claims she was just curious, but I don't believe her."

Akane nodded slightly, "I see I came at a troublesome time for you all." she finally spoke, flicking her hand, causing the blades to disappear... into her skin?

"Actually, you came at just the right time!" Intercepted Gwen with a nod.

"Hahaoya, you finally have come!" Cried Amaya, immediately hugging her adoptive mother. She had been worried; Akane had been gone for longer than she said she would be.

Akane smiled, hugging the young one in return. "Yes. I have." She turned to Jasper and Amanda, a kind smile on her face. "New ones?" She asked curiously.

Cassandra sighed quietly, falling silent for a few moments, her thumb drawing small circles on the back of Alec's hand absentmindedly. "It's fine, you don't have to tell me..."

"Gee, thanks, Quil," Jake said, rolling his eyes as he slapped the offending hand away. "It's nice to see you, too."

"Aw, do you wanna hug, too, Jakey?" Asked Quil jokingly, grinning. "I'll be off. Going to go find Embry and the others. Hey, Jake, why don't you and Chlo come and see us in the forest at six?" He asked. And without waiting for a reply, he darted off, "See ya!"

"...That was totally unexpected." Chloe finally said.

"Amanda." I whispered her name. "Amanda, wake up." Her scream was to loud. "Amanda, wake up!" I nearly shouted. Her eyes opened, and she burst into tears.
Jasper pulled me into his arms, trying to comfort me, but I ran. "Get away from me, you monster!" Screaming, I bolted up the stairs. "Traitor!" I yelled, and slammed the door. The tears continued to flow down my already wet face.

I shivered. It was even colder here, somehow, and Aro was looking at me in the strangest way, as if I was a trophy and he was the winner. I squirmed uncomfotably under his stare.
The elevator came back up, and I got in quickly, knowing Stephanie and Amanda needed me.

For a few moments, the two vampires Leach and Gwen fell into silence. Gwen exhaled a little, "Shall I go calm her down?" She asked, tilting her head over at Jasper. If you looked closely, you could see a clear vampire bite mark under her chin.

"Yes." I nodded. I was a monster. Amanda wasn't good enough for me. She deserved someone better, someone who truly knew her. Not me.
But she loved me anyway.
I didn't know why, but she did.

Gwen nodded solemnly, and drifted up the steps, knocking on the door that Amanda had slammed. Of course this was her house [for the time-being] too, but she just wanted to be polite. "Amanda?" She called quietly.

Leach sat in silence for a few moments, "Um... You said your old name was Jasper Whitlock, right?"

"What happened?" Asked Gwen, her eyebrows knitting together a little.

Leach nodded once, digging around in his pocket. "Confederates?" he asked quietly, "'cause back when I was turned, to be recruited into Maria's army, I found this." He held out a rusty little dog tag, "Had your name on it." He continued, "I had heard your name passing around, but I didn't know who you were. Figured I saved it in case."

"Just a dream..." I muttered. "He... handed me over... to the guy... and you guys supported him..." I shuddered.
I stared at the rusty dog tag. I hadn't seen mine in over a century. "Thank you." I heard myself say sincerely. "Really." I took the tag, my face splitting into a brilliant smile.

Leach grinned in return, one of his rare grins, but a grin all the same. He nodded, "You're very welcome." He responded politely, readjusting the ski-type hat that he was wearing. "Sorry if it's a little rusty..." He said, smiling sheepishly.

A sort of hurt look passed over Gwen's face, "We'd never do that to one of us, Amanda. Never. And I don't want you to even consider that, okay?"
