{~Free Falling~} ~{Chapter 1 added}~
Maturity: romance
Character List:
Miranda Snowe: Tall and slende girl, with short hair that curls slightly under her chin. She has side bangs, huge brown eyes, and brown hair. A beautiul girl, but her flaw is being too shy. She has one close friend, Erin Smith. They are oppisites. A lot of boy like her, and she is oblivious. She has no crushes.
Erin Smith: Miranda's best friend. Short and plump with blonde hair and natural blonde high lights. Big blue eyes, and friendly and laid back. Has one or two close friends, and lots of not-so-close friends. Currently no crushes, but Miranda wantes her to like Tyler.
Kelsey Adams: Tall, skinny and stunningly beautiul. With her hazel eyes, and brown shoulder length hair, all the boys like her. Miranda's ex-best friend, because she stole Miranda's boyfriend. She moved away at the end of last year. Too bad for Miranda and Erin that she just moved back . . .
Devyn Smith: Erin's older sister.
Joshua Bossie: Miranda's older sister.
"Honey, aren't you excited?" mom asked.
"Why would I be excited?" I asked.
"Well, it's the first day of sixth grade! Yo're in Middle School!"
"It doesn't mean that I want to go back . . ."
"Oh, stop fussing and get dressed!"
I swiped my side bands over to one side of my face, and got into my retro plaid skirt with leggings. Erin was wearing the same thing. Missy and Erin were picking me up at six sharp to get my hair straightened. Apparently straight hair is in this year. Whatever. It's not like I care, or anything.
"Honey, get breakfast! And stop sulking! That rabbit went to a good home!"
Yeah. Right. The one thing i wanted was a rabbit and it had to be sold to some bratty kid. It would probably be tortured. The day I walked into the petstore and saw him in that womans arms, I nearly bawled my eyes out. Erin''s sister Devy was also devastated. Espically after her cat ran away ttwo weeks earlier. But, hey, life is not fair. And little did I know, I was about to figure that out the hardest way possible.
Then, someone knocked on the door.
"It must be Erin!" my mom said from somewhere in the house.
I walked to the door, and let Erin and her mom in. Erin looked the same as me. Our skrys were slightly different, both plaid and retro. but they ere bought at different places, and looked different.
"ARe you excited?" Missy asked.
I nodded. "Yeah, I am,"
My mom emerged, andpulled mme into aa hug.
"I love you," she said.
"I love you too, mummy,"
She smiled, and I waved before exiting the door, and to Missy and Erin's house.
"Still no Poppy?" I asked.
Erin shook her head. "Sadly, no,"
"Well that's awful . . ."
Poppy was the mom of my kitten Princess. They knew each other briefly.
"So, hoow is Devyn taking it?" I asked.
"Taking what?"
I sighed. "Poppy, of course,"
"Oh, Poppy's coming back; she has to!"
"Okay guys, we're here," Missy said.
I stepped out of the car, and onto the porch, ready for my hair to ge straightened. Missy led me to the bathroom, and wet my hair in the sink. Then, she dried it so it was damp, and brushed it. Finally, she took out the straightener, and tooks tufts of my hair, one at a time. Slowly, slowly. Then, she had to do Erin's again. It seemed like forever, but finally we were on our way there. As we pulled up to the school, Erin gasped.
"What?!" I demanded.
"Look- It's Kelsey!"
"She can't be! Her mom just bought a house!" I said.
But, sure enough, Kelsey was standing there wearing her hair down, that seemed to be curled. Her pretty grey eyes were shining, and her shiny ballet flats glittered in the sun.
"I. Can't. Believe. This." I said.
"Yeah, me either,"
"Well, looks like Ben is intrested," I snorted.
Ben was staring at his girlfriend his eyes slightly glazed, and he appeared to be drooling slightly. Erin looked at him and laughed.
"Yeah!" she said "He looks happy!"
Austin slapped Ben on the back of the head, and Ben twitched and looked up at Austin. Austin laughed, and Ben smiled sheepishly.
"Hey Al," I heard Kelsey greet Allie.
Just then, a teacher walked up to Kelsey, and murmered "Get to the gym!" Kelsey looked irritated, but didn't argue, and stormed off toward the gym. I laughed, and followed Devyn and Erin out of the car. Erin slowed slightly and looked up at me.
"Are you nervous?" she asked me.
I shook my head. "No, are you?"
"A little," she confessed
"It'll be okay," I reassured her.
"Yeah. Yeah, it will," she said.
"What are you nervouse about?"
"Lockers -"
"Easy. They'll give you your combanation, you memerize it, and how to opwn it."
"Have you done it before?"
"No."
"Then how do you know?!"
"I just do, okay? Now, what else are you nervous about?" I asked.
"Well, getting lost,"
"There'll be teachers in the halls that'll point you in the right direcction,"
"How do you know?"
"Do you think they'll just say 'go to math in room B2'? They'll know we won't know where that room is,"
"But, how can you be so sure?"
"Kelseys brother said seventh and eighth graders walk down the sixth grade hallway. Ask a friendly looking one."
"Well, I guess...." she said.
"Anything else?"
"Nope. I'm good."
"Are you sure?" I asked.
"Well....."
"'Well' what?" I asked.
"I'm a little worried that we won't have any classes....."
"Didn't Devyn say she was in a class with two other 'Smithes'?"
"Yes -"
"'Snow' and 'Smith'; we're bound to be in a class together!"
I just relized that we'd made it into the school. Where now? Erin asked the same thing.
"Where to....?" she said.
"I've no idea." I said
"Wait!" I exclaimed.
"What? We're lost." Erin said.
"Remember that teacher told Kelsey to go to the gym?" I asked.
"Yeah...."
"Well, why shouldn't we? All the sixth graders are going to be there, after all,"
"Okay, but which way to the gym?"
"Back the way we came, and to the right,"
"Why the right?" Erin asked.
"Why not?"
So, we scurried back the way we came, and turned right, and eventually we came to a gym loaded with kids. We saw Kelsey's sparkly dress from far away, even without my glasses. When Kelsey saw me she narrowed her eyes.
"Hey, Snowe" Kelsey spat.
"What's up Adams?" I said just as curtly
"Nothin', loser,"
I couldn't help from laughing out loud. I couldn't stop, and she looked at me like I had no brains. Erin also looked at me but I payed no attention.
"You. Think. I'm. A. Loser. When. You-"

Re: {~Free Falling~} ~{Chapter 1 added}~
LOL, thanks! For some strangely odd reason, I decided to name the main character Miranda
Re: {~Free Falling~} ~{Chapter 1 added}~
Lol, I name my characters after myself sometimes too... mostly just when I'm writing stories based on what happened in my actual real life.
Re: {~Free Falling~} ~{Chapter 1 added}~
LOL I also use the same character names for alot of stories. I'll have 3 or 4 stories with a main character Eliza, about a bazillion with Melody, 2 with Raven, several with Marie, a bunch of Clique stories with Carolyn, Alicia, Candace and Vicki (Those are real popular girls at my school) and so on. I also put my friends and myself into stories under different names... xD
