I'm starting out in Vroengaurd-at the academy for the Riders]
Jade glanced around warily, sheathing her purple sword. Obviously, her mentor thought she stunk at everything and she needed a thirty minute medetaion rest for her to begin to start back on track.
"Stupid magic," she muttered, absently stroking her baby dragon.
The room she was sitting in had high vaulted ceilings for dragons. Except the Rider resented the fact that it was tiny; all of the begginer Shur'tugals started out here.
Soon we'll be able to move on, Ophelia nuzzled Jade's leg comfortingly.

[xD Let's say she got an escort by her future mentor. Ooh, I have an idea! She can have the same mentor as Jade. After all, Jade's still looked at as a young adult what with the Elves and all. ]
Jade glanced up, hearing someone walking around. It didn't look as if they were going anywhere; mroe or less wandering aimlessly. She decided to go meet the girl, as Riders were supposed to be friendly or something, according to her mentor.
Don't be harsh on him, the other dragons say you're his first student, Ophelia padded besides Jade, seeming to chuckle.
Jade shrugged, patting Ophelia's head, which was at her knee.
"Kvetha Shur'tugal," she said in Elven.
Wait, the purple dragon reminded her, this Rider may not speak Elven yet.
Of couse she does, Jade said back, all students sit through a hour lecture on formal greetings before they can roam this place.

"It's not mine! They all think I'm supposed to have it, but I'm not, see?! It hasn't even hatched!"

Jade blinked in surprise; she didn’t know Elven, so must’ve just come there.
“Oh,” she said, “It means ‘greetings, Dragon Rider’ in English; I was speaking Elven.”
She gasped in astonishment when the girl finished, then getting over her surprise she nodded.
“That’s how I felt when I received my egg. But now…”
Ophelia stepped out from behind Jade’s leg, her small angled head cocked.
Tis your egg; the dragon is inside of it waiting for the right moment to hatch. It’s afraid—upset because you are. And it wants to come out, but it has to wait until you want it you hatch, she spoke into both their minds.

It's not that - they're not -" She suddenly cut herself off, though, clamping her lips together. Kumori had been about to say that dragons weren't that intelligent . . . but that seemed absurd, she realized, when this one right here had just spoken to her. I bet I seem like a real idiot, she muttered to herself. "I - I don't think I see what you mean. It's not my egg. I'm not supposed to have it - I stole it, really." She winced slightly when to admit this, but didn't appear ashamed. "I didn't know it was a dragon egg, and now, now I just . . ." She took in a deep breath. "I want to get rid of it. That's all. It's not mine, really." Desperately staring into first the girl and then the dragon's eyes, she hoped they would just help her.

“Have a seat. Now a need you to answer a few questions: Where did you get the egg? When did you get it? Why were you brought here—to Vroengaurd; the Dragon Rider’s place? And did you ever think of how cool being a Dragon Rider is? Do you or do you not want this dragon?”
At the last part, Ophelia snorted; obviously Kumori didn’t.

I want my life back, my normal life, and I don't want to have to die for anything. The dragon riders have to fight, don't they? And fighting means . . . death. I don't want to die. I'd rather live. That's why I need to get rid of this, before anything happens to me!"
