kasey was a little upset throughout the whole rest of the movie. she knew that lucas was wicked mad at her.

Once the movie was done, Lucas stood up, getting ready to leave.
"My house is only a few blocks from here. I'll see you later."
He didn't kiss her at all. He didn't hug her or even shake her hand. He just said "bye."

Lucas walked home and laid down on his bed, falling asleep. He didn't think or dream about Kasey at all. He hoped that the next day, she wouldn't confront him at school. Or her brother.

i am so sick & tired of guys. kasey thought to herself. lucas doesn't care about me. he knows that i hate when guys take things too fast, yet he wants to go & take things too far!

At school the next day, Lucas tried to avoid Kasey and her brother as much as possible.

kasey got a text from one of lucas's friends, saying to go to his house. she had nothing else to do, so she wore a cute, short dress, re- straightened her hair, & walked out of the house, heading to his friend's house.
