You were lipstick words on a
mirror, and
groggy, drunken stumbles
across the hotel
carpet.
Your voice was gritty
and livid
when you spewed
lies and spittle at my cowering
form.
My false smiles and
wondering stares weren't enough for you.
I'll fade
until
I'm good enough.
