Scream Lies From Rooftops

i will teach you how to breathe,
and my instructions will lead
to suffocation. i will run your
fingers through a gauntlet of
hissing blades, and tell you
that you will awaken with felt-
coated insides. i will scream
my lies from rooftops and
assure you that everything
is alright. i will find the cracks
in my armor and let you think
that you're exploiting me,
while really grinding the ashes
of your purity into the tear-
wet ground. i will swallow
your words and run them
through the rain until they
shrink like the fleeces of
sheep, and reveal the rotten
core of everything we stood for.

i will tell you you're beautiful and then devour the remains.

Wow... This is amazing, Harmony. You're such a talented poet... You have a way of rendering me speechless each time I read these. I don't know how you do it, but you manage to have the best metaphors and you always choose the most obscure yet perfectly descriptive words. :3 Excellent job!
