- I'm not sure how I got here, but I ended up in a vast field at dawn. Last I remembered, it was Tuesday, and it was night.
I was laying on my back, wearing, not my nightgown, but instead old, worn jeans, a peace sign tee, and my brown flip-flops. I took in a deep breath of the morning air and propped myself up on my elbows. I took a look at my surroundings.
I was in the middle of a huge field of short grass and those puffy white dandilions you see near winter. Except it wasn't winter. It seemed to be late spring, almost summer. I blinked, confused, and looked behind me. The sun was setting behind some mountains. But that's not what caught my attention. No, what caught my attention was the silhouette of someone walking towards me. I guess that I can now honestly say that that was the most scary thing in my life.
Let me tell you the whole story.
I was getting ready for bed Tuesday night. I had already brushed my hair and teeth, and now I had just slipped into the nightgown. I laid down under the covers of my bed, and was reading a book. After about half an hour, I got out of bed to get my laptop so I could check my email.
That's when it happened.
I was getting back in bed when something, or someone, grabbed me. After that, I couldn't remember anything else. I think I got knocked out, but I don't know.
And now...well, now I was here, somewhere I don't know of, in a giant field, with someone walking towards me.
I just sat there and stared at the silhouetted figure for awhile. Then it dawned upon me that this might very well be the same person who knocked me out earlier. And he or she might want to kill me. Well, that's just great, I thought bitterly, standing up and squinting at whoever the figure was.
I noticed that the someone had quickened his pace. At this, I started worrying. I stumbled backwards and tripped over the root of a tree. I landed in the long grass face-first.
"Oomph," I groaned, standing up and trying to get rid of the grass stains on my pants. I brushed myself off, getting the stray grass pieces off my pants.
I screamed when someone took me by the arm and started running, dragging me along. I looked wide-eyed at whoever was pulling me, and I realized it must have been the figure I saw earlier. He had short brown hair and was wearing a white long-sleeved shirt and light denim pants. He wore brown tennis shoes as well.
I gasped when he finally let me go near a cliff. "What do you want?" I gasped, leaning on a tree, trying to catch my breath.
He turned to face me, and I could see his face now, rather than the back of his head. He had dark gray eyes, almost black. He looked to be in his older teens, maybe 17 to 19 was my guess.
"I am Josh Karson. And you are?"
I blinked. "Uh, I'm Amber," I answered sheepishly. He raised an eyebrow. I looked at him confusedly.
Freewrite II, Taylor in Wonderland
Maturity: Eh, not much.
Fantasy: Lots, Wonderland, talking animals, etc.
- Spoiler:
- I never knew exactly what happened when I first fell into that hole. What I did know, however, was that I had somehow managed to poof myself into Wonderland.
Yeah, I said 'Wonderland'. Got a problem with that? 'Cause if you do, why are you reading this in the first place? Notice the title "Wonderland". It kinda gives it away, huh?
YES, I had popped up in the actual Alice in Wonderland place. YES, everyone I passed called me Alice. YES, I did end up wearing that blue dress and having those curly locks of hair...and her beautiful blue eyes...and that little black bow she always wore in the movies. And in the end, I actually didn't want to go home.
But that's not until later.
Freewrite III (No Title)
Maturity: PG-13, kissing, dating, etc.
Fantasy: Weird/Omen dreams

"Come here, little duckies," I said, holding out my hand. The ducklings quacked and swam around in the lake. "Where's your momma?" I asked the ducklings, floating a leaf on the water. The ducklings quacked at me.
"I know," I sighed, looking out at the sun. "No one understands me either."
Freewrite IV (No Title)
Maturity: PG-13, minor AND major wounds, minor cussing, etc.

- I decided that Tuesday that it would be the best day of my life. After all, I was going to Kaycee's house for a three-day boat trip sleepover, and we were going to visit a bunch of aquariums, and we would stop at Eagle Island to play and explore for a few hours, and we had decided to jump off the boat and swim in the open water for a while. It would be great.
Boy was I wrong.
I got dressed that morning and brushed my hair. I ran downstairs, hurrying to get outside. I opened the door.
My mom stopped me in my tracks.
“Yes?” I asked, looking up at her, still wanting to get to Kaycee's.
“Libby.”
“Yes?”
“Your room.”
“What about it?”
She gave me a stern look. “What do you think?”
I looked down. “...It...need's to be painted?”
“Libby.”
I sighed. “It's messy.”
She nodded. “Before you head off, you need to clean—”
“But Moooom!” I groaned. “Kaycee's waiting. They can't leave 'till I get there.”
My mom shook her head. “Sorry, Libby. You're the one who kept it messy.”
I moaned and stomped back upstairs.
I threw the last of my clothes into the closet and closed the slide doors. I looked at Princess Buttercup, my white rabbit. I walked over and gave her some more food. “See you later,” I said, and walked back downstairs. “DONE!” I called, heading out the door. I shut it behind me and started walking to Kaycee's house.
I glanced at the beach as I walked across the street. Soon, I would be in the speedboat, headed towards the actual boat we would stay on, and with Kaycee. I sighed, and walked towards Kay's house.
Yep. The best day of my life. Yep.
It sure seemed like it when I woke up that day. I had turned 14 two days before. This was like a BFF Sleepover, yet at the same time a late birthday present. I had even picked out my favorite outfit to wear today.
I had arrived at Kay's house. I knocked. No one answered. I looked over at the boat on the side of the house, and saw Kay waving at me. I laughed, running over. She was standing on the boat, waving and grinning at me. "Hop in! We're gonna ride in the speedboat while Dad drives to the dock."
"We're actually gonna ride in the boat, while he drives in the car?"
"Heck yeah!" Kay grinned.
I smiled back and climbed up next to her. "This will be awesome."
"I know right?" Kay said excitedly.
I heard Kay's dad start the engine of the truck, and we slowly pulled out from the side of the house and towards the beach.
It was only about ten minutes before we were at the beach. I looked at Kay. She looked at me. We both grabbed each other's hands and started jumping and screaming with joy. "This is gonna rock!"
"I KNOW!" I yelled back excitedly. We both grinned at each other and sat down while Kay's dad got the boat in the water.
Soon we were speeding through the water in the little speedboat. My golden-brown hair whipped across my face as we reached fourty miles-per-hour. I looked over at Kay. Her blonde hair was tied up in a bun, so it wasn't flowing in the wind like mine. Her ocean blue eyes sparkled excitedly.
I peeked over the side of the boat. I could already see the boat, about ten yards away. I poked Kay. She looked at me, then at the boat. She nodded and grinned.

I sat down at my desk, opening my history folder. I picked up my pencil and wrote down whatever was on the chalkboard; I didn't care about what it said, and I didn't want to know. I just wrote down whatever letters and words that were up there.
My best friend, Kaycee, sat next to me. She glanced at me and gave me a smile. I didn't smile back.
At lunch Kaycee sat down next to me. I had been sitting alone on an empty bench, and she had come to be my friend.
"Hey, what's up?" she asked, taking a bite of her taco.
"Nothing," I said glumly, staring idly at my food.
"You ok?" she asked, looking at me. I had a feeling she was getting worried about me now.
"Yeah, I'm fine."
I wasn't fine at all.
My boyfriend - no, my ex-boyfriend - Matt, who I thought was loyal, who stayed with me for two years, who I thought would love me forever and ever, broke up with me the night before. He had told me he loved me, and then he killed me. He killed me. Mentally. I had no hope now. I had no reason to stay alive.
Kaycee didn't believe me.
"Something's wrong."
"No, I'm fine."
I picked up my fork.
"What's that on your hand?"
I closed my eyes. Kaycee grabbed my hand. I pulled it away.
"Libby, what is on your hands?"
I sat there, doing nothing, just staring at her. I turned my hands over.
'If there are 6.7 billion people in the world, then why do I feel so alone...'
"Libby..." Kaycee said sadly, reading the words I had written on my palms.
I jerked my hands away. "Leave me alone," I said bitterly, tears forming in my eyes and running down my cheeks.
"Is it...?" She knew. She suspected it was him.
"Yes," I cried, the tears streaming now. "Yes, it's Matt, the stupid *bleep*!" I closed my eyes, trying to keep back tears. "Stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid! He's stupid! I'm stupid!" I shuddered and started sobbing.

That's cool, Phoenix! o_o I really wanna know what the heck is happening to this person now.
Just so you know, though, freewrites don't actually need to be edited. I mean, you can edit them if you really want to, but the whole point is to have an outlet for writing that's entirely free and has no purpose. Just for the sake of writing something, without any standards, if that makes sense.

Thanks, Shadow!
And yeah, I know freewrites are for the sake of writing (I understand you! 8D), but for some reason I'm really liking this story and wants to try and turn it into a real story. X3
